This extension is great for added support for gimbals and cameras in general. One feature I liked is that the strap is removable leaving a 1/4 thread to be used as a lever on a tripod, making for interesting settings. It is also used as a protection option when required.

I got this for my Canon T6i (crazy I know). I used a small tripod and ball head that allowed the camera to be positioned 8 inches higher than it was standing. It was also a handy portable setup for blog-type snaps. I wanted to use different lenses which meant I needed more coverage. That's exactly what I need. The foam grip is comfortable and the wand itself is sturdy and just the right size.

A good extension cord. Lightweight, compact and appears to be quite durable. I find it a bit pricey but it's perfect for my needs. Update September 29, 2019: Overall the design of this extension is good, but the back cover has recently come off. I'm trying to fix that with Loctite. The 8-bolt bracket will clamp in the down position when screwed in at 1/4 20. I'm starting to wonder how durable it will be in the long run.

Overall a great addition to increase tripod height for filming sports games. The black and red anodizing looks crisp. The soft handle also makes it comfortable to hold in hand. The only problem is the spring-loaded 3/8-16 screw mount. This idea seems ingenious at first glance, you just click on it when you want to open the 1/4-20 bolt. I don't know why Amazon asks me to mention the warmth of this product. Hot. For example my second wedding anniversary overlooking the Detroit River at the Windsor Casino. Revane refunded my money and let me keep one, but it's sturdy and seems like a full set would be great.

I took it on vacation for two weeks. I like this height and weight. This is a good aluminum bar. It is not as heavy and long as a gopol, which is great for travel. In the pictures I put it next to a 15 inch laptop for comparison. Shows it closed and then open. It's about the same size as the Zhiyun Smooth 4. It also works well with our old Smooth 3. It gives you enough extra spacing to prevent your videos from being close-ups.
