Cheap piece of shit.

The drive is running and fine for a quick read or write or two. But the device is made of cheap plastic and only after 3 months of use in 80% of cases it began to refuse to open and no longer read. Invest the extra $5/10 in something better.

Looked good Computer components

It looked good. The instructions said "plug and play". I connected and DIDN'T NOTICE what happened, didn't play anything, had no idea how to get it to work, so what was the point?

Furnishing Computer components

This product advertises that it can be plugged into any computer and made it work. The instructions provided with the product are intended for a much more limited use. If you are not familiar with computers and use Windows 10, the operating system should be an older program with available drivers and an optical drive. Otherwise, you need to install drivers and provide working software. Apart from the disadvantage mentioned, this is a good compact and functional optical drive.

The cable is too short.

Works great, nothing fancy but very affordable, but it's a little tricky for desktop because the cable is only about 9 inches long. You should have read that before buying.

Cheap and works well!

I was disappointed that my new laptop didn't have a built in DVD/CD player so this was the best choice. And it works well, is easy to use, and fits in my laptop bag.

Compact.maybe too compact.hard not to eject the disc when you insert it

very compact but the eject button is in a weird place on the front which makes it very easy to eject the disc accidentally. I could live with it because of the low price, but ended up sending it back because it wouldn't play my home-recorded DVDs. Worked well with commercial discs but discs I recorded myself. It didn't even play on DVD carriers of different brands. However, if you just want to save space on store-bought DVDs, this one will do.

CD/DVD players in CD and DVD drives

Good external CD/DVD player. Did everything I needed from downloading software and data from CDs to watching DVD movies. Haven't tried burning discs yet. acceptable price.
