High rates of lemons from this factory

Bought a lemon. The arm didn't balance and the anti-skating didn't work at all. The rubber mat was also missing. My partner and I spent almost 2 hours troubleshooting and couldn't find a way to get it to work. The support rep was extremely unhelpful and simply copied the link to a YouTube video that we had watched several times. I've searched many forums and found that others had the same issue with the RT80, citing a large number of defective tables at the factory that made them. I go to the…

DEFECTIVE, DEFECTIVE, DEFECTIVE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FLUANCE!

Ripe bright yellow lemon! It looks nice, but what's the point if it doesn't work? I read a review from another buyer with the same problem, a very defective product - hit or miss, working or not. The arm didn't balance no matter what I did. I watched the video, I even called Fluance support and the guy walked me through the steps with the same result, he couldn't balance. Not only that, he asked for my cell phone number, then put me on hold, never picked up the phone again, and when I called…

A good entry-level turntable, but get the RT81 instead.

Good entry level turntable although I would go with the RT81 with a better cartridge. The built in preamp can be bypassed (and you will) and has RCA inputs so you can add better quality RCA cables. I recommend the Schiit Mani preamp to get the most out of this entry-level turntable. Mani is only $130 and outperforms preamps 10 times more expensive. Don't believe me, do some YT research and "listen" for yourself. Another benefit of this turntable is that you can adjust/fine tune the speed with a

Sound: the heart and soul of Fluance

It's all about sound, and Fluance knows sound. Fluance has been making great sounding speakers since 1999. Sound is the heart and soul of this company and they now produce this turntable with the same passion and precision they are known for. This turntable looks fantastic, I couldn't find any flaws in the finish or any details of the machine. The preamp produces a clean and bright sound and the pen is really high quality. Yes, there are better options: automatic folding arms, speed controls…

Lots of things to like but a few annoyances

I use this TT solely for playing records in my office. This is definitely a pretty good looking piano black device. Basically, for what I'm using the TT for, it's great. Sounds very good, tracks well, very easy to set up and use. After taking everything out of the box, I probably started playing records after about 15 minutes. In hindsight, however, I probably should have paid the extra $50 for the RT81 for a number of reasons. 1) The RT80's feet are quite wobbly and have very little vibration…

A true counterbalanced turntable for the masses

If you want to enjoy (and keep) your record, the budget conscious consumer faces a dilemma. You can get $100 fixed weight turntables that will play your records, but they will damage the grooves every time you play them. What you want is a more upscale turntable with a counterbalanced tonearm that uses minimal pressure to achieve sound, but these little ones typically start at $400 and go higher. Fluance delivers what the market has been waiting for. - a decent turntable with a counterbalanced…

AZ record test Passed with distinction!

I gifted this Fluance turntable to my AZ record collection, tested everything from Alice Cooper to Frank Sinatra to Led Zeppelin, everything sounded absolutely amazing, high treble, bass is good and responsive, and the heads are All in all I did not use the supplied stylus but chose the Ortofon Red which goes into the Little Bear photo preamp in which I replaced the standard tubes with a couple of matching Russian tubes available from Revain , and it rests on a great little Nobsound MS-10D I…

Sleek, sexy and works with my Samsung Soundbar

After racking my brains over tons of reviews and a Reddit thread, I stumbled across this player after failing to pull the trigger on other similar models that looked uglier (to be honest) IMHO. I was looking for a turntable that 1. isn't a "toy" like typical Crosley models and 2. can be connected to my Samsung soundbar as the main speaker. For some reason, after seeing the post-review progress, the question about the soundbar was not answered. In my case, all I needed was an RCA AUX cable. It…

Very nice turntable

Very nice turntable. I love it. I went with the cheaper unit because I wanted to replace the cartridge immediately, so I spent my savings on this purchase (Audio-Technica VM540ML/H). Also, the black finish looks better with other components. I've looked at all the other devices, including very expensive ones, but I really don't think I'll hear a difference between this device and the expensive ones, especially given the quiet, understated music I like. In addition, this device is equipped with…
