Great little tool when managing connection limits and load distributing

It's easy to use, very powerful at handling multiple connections with several applications running in it simultaneously. I like that you can set up different rules depending of your needs for each user or group (or even per host). You have many options regarding configuration files which are pretty clear about what they do but not so much how should i choose between them all? In my opinion there isn't one option better than others as long if its configured correctly will work well together with

Pros
  • Robustness when working inside cluster networks where lots apps run concurrently; load balanced across those machines easily.
  • Extremely configurable ; almost no limits while deploying new configurations from outside world
Cons
  • All fine

Has lots useful options if your requirements fit its capabilities

I like that it's easy to set up, it has many features, and it is very configurable. It does not support all protocols, but you can set it up to work with any protocol you want. You have to use a different client for each protocol. The UI could be improved. Sometimes it takes a long time to update the status of a connection after an error. The configuration files are also very large, so it is difficult to find what is causing problems. In general, it works well. We need a solution to control…

Pros
  • Easy integration in complex networks
  • Ease maintenance by system administrators (centralized logs)
Cons
  • Complexity when used as load balancer; this makes its installation more complicated.
  • Slow response under heavy loads

High performance load balancer/reverse proxying software

The ability to use it in cloud environments, so that you can easily scale up or down as needed without having downtime for your applications. It's also easy enought to configure once you know how things work (which takes some time). I don't like its configuration management system - there are many ways of doing something which makes them hard to understand at first sight. Also sometimes when deploying new configurations they fail with cryptic errors. Sometimes even just restarting apache will…

Pros
  • Excellent tool is used by large internet companies such google,
  • Easy way deploy software.
  • This requires minimal installation steps making deployment quick; ) Relatively simple setup compared most alternatives eases learning curve greatly!
Cons
  • Documentation could be better
  • Configuration manager leaves

Very reliable and responsive software / server management

A very easy to use service, no complex features or unnecessary bells & whistles; just simple configuration that works well with my VPS hosting plan's needs! I like how it handles incoming traffic at an extremely fast rate (at least when compared against other services), which makes for seamless web browsing experience without any lag time between page loads. One thing about this particular product though - there are some things in its user interface where one can easily get confused due to…

Pros
  • Easy setup process.
  • Great performance improvement over traditional load balancing solutions used before Haproxy took off among others
Cons
  • It doesn’t support IPv6 natively yet
