Not great for modifying

I looked for a long time to find a mountain bike that still had a frame opening large enough to add a motor to. Here’s the issue, the bike doesn’t come with any mounting tabs for installing a disc brake system. I purchased a new set of rims from BikeBerry and the front forks aren’t wide enough for the rim’s brake rotor to freely spin. I’ve yet to mess with the rear wheel system.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • May not have brake rotors with sufficient stopping power

Not easy to assemble.

This was 1000x harder to assemble than I ever thought. It was partially assembled upon arrival and it took forever to read the instructions to figure out how to get everything set up correctly. 1 wheel was bent and overall was pretty much a nightmare to assemble. If I had to do it over, I would pay more and get one at a local store fully assembled. How much is your time worth?

Pros
  • ‎Linear Pull
Cons
  • May not have a boost rear axle for added stiffness

Missing parts and weeks of waiting

The bike looks nice enough. I hope sometime in under a month I actually get to use it. The bicycle was sent to me without any instructions for putting it together and was missing the petals! When I finally got a hold of huffy, they said it will be one or two more weeks before I should expect to see the pedals and instructions.

Pros
  • ‎Huffy Bicycle Company huffy hardtail mountain trail bike
Cons
  • May not have an adjustable chainstay length

Not worth the cheaper price!

It was difficult to assemble by myself and once assembled the chain fell of within the first few minutes. The gears don’t seem to shift and it’s impossible to tow a trailer behind it. I went around the block with it and it was not enjoyable. The gears need a lot of work! I am tempted to send it back and just get my money back.

Pros
  • With its ergonomic design and padded seat, this bike is also highly comfortable, helping you stay comfortable even on long rides. Whether you're navigating rocky trails or winding roads, this bike is designed with your comfort and wellbeing in mind
Cons
  • May not have a wheelset that can withstand heavy use

Cheap break levers.

A bit upset I didn’t just buy a no name bike for half the price. Bought for 11 year old son. Both brake levers are broken after a couple days of use. Very cheap metal used on the levers. I remember having a huffy as a kid and it lasted my entire youth. This thing lasted all of a weekend. How do I get new brake levers without returning the whole bike?

Pros
  • ‎26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame
Cons
  • May not hold up well to heavy use

Huffy bicycle: Made of Aerospace Aluminum? What!

It’s lightweight for me; however, the average person may have difficulty with it as it is rather heavy because it’s made out of aerospace grade aluminum much like maglites of years past and currently manufactured in Ontario, California of America. Other than that this is an amazing bicycle that’s easy to asssemble.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • May not be suitable for competitive mountain biking

Overall good value: my feedback

Overall good bike for the price. Only issues I had were that the tires weren’t fully inflated, the gears are very short, and the shifter needed a bit of adjustment to properly shift through all gears.

Pros
  • ‎76838
Cons
  • May not have adequate shock adjustability

Huffy bike review good for me

Got it put together OK but still waiting for better weather before I ride. That will be the proof in the pudding. Remind me in mid April and I’ll complete the survey.

Pros
  • Fácil de montar
Cons
  • Seat is a torture device. Pedal arms are plastic.

Good value good for me

A little trouble with assembly but nothing that following the directions correctly couldn’t fix LOL. 15 year old really likes the bike. Nice blue color.

Pros
  • Slight-rise handlebar enables upright riding to minimize back and shoulder strain; ATB-type resin pedals on the 3-piece crank have responsive feel; Kraton grips remain comfortable to the touch; alloy wheels in matte black; kickstand included
Cons
  • May not have a high-end drivetrain

Good product for my opinion

The bike purchase is fine, there is only a problem with one of the pedals it wont screw on completely and keeps falling off during a ride.

Pros
  • The bike is awesome, it was easy to install and rides great! Highly recommend!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for technical trails

Very cheap, in all sense of the word.

This is a cheap bike with cheap components. Expect to replace almost every part in the near to medium future and you will be fine. I had to replace the painful seat and incredibly weak pedals (one shattered on my first ride) right off the bat, and I'll need to replace the front detailer next as it is incapable of staying in adjustment. Also in my very near future are new front forks, as the shock absorbers are essentially just sarcasm. It's a functional emergency bike, good to learn things by…

Pros
  • ‎A Bike
Cons
  • May not have enough clearance for mud

Easy to assemble - my new review

Easy to assemble.Advice: don’t be intimidated. The instructions list required tools; but, tools are included. Also, the complex parts are already assembled.Suggestion: view Huffy video as a guide to assemble.Bike rides smooth and sturdy when riding on street and sidewalk.Very happy with my birthday gift.

Pros
  • ‎18.21 Kilograms
Cons
  • May not handle well for jumps or drops

Nice Looking Bike on my review.

You get what you pay for. It’s a nice looking bike but when I rode it, the gears didn’t work properly and the chain popped off when out in the highest gear. The front rim was also a little bent on arrival, so the tire was wobbly. I really wanted to like this bike.

Pros
  • ‎Huffy
Cons
  • May not come with a frame warranty

Awesome bike in my review

Easy to assemble. Very lightweight. Smooth ride and shifting. The green color looks even better in person. My 12 year old son loves it. Would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Promptly draw on 21 speeds on-demand for uphill climbing, downhill riding, or pure acceleration with the indexed Shimano TZ-31 rear derailleur and micro-shift twist shifter; suspension fork absorbs bumps for a better ride
Cons
  • May not have enough clearance for rider's feet

As review says, front right brake rubs against wheel due to poor alignment, and the tire blew up when inflated to specified pressure. *Update*- few months later, one of the pedals fell off mid-ride, making me have to push my bike all the way back home. When I checked the tread where it screws into, it's been so badly stripped it's actually peeling off in long, thin metal strips. A friend warned me after I bought this thing I should've never bought a Huffy. I should've listened.

Pros
  • ‎Limited Lifetime Warranty
Cons
  • May not have a thru-axle front fork

  • Ride may be harsh compared to full suspension options

Not happy with this purchase

The Bar that holds the seat got stuck inside we needed an extra $100 to pay fir taking that off and checking all bile assembly. The screws were loose we have to get extra screws go assemble the parts.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • Single-pivot rear suspension may lead to a harsh ride
