    Type of review

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

    Lame product and terrible quality.

I looked at the reviews and ordered a thin overlay from VRcover, which in theory should have solved the problems with FOV and backlight (thanks to the double lenses, which are also used in the Valve Index, but this problem is not as noticeable there as in this helmet), but it does not have a strong effect gave :(

    Pros
    • Tracking Convenient link box long cord Cute appearance
    Cons
    • Very small vertical FOV Lights and "Rays of God" (look at the last photo) small sweet spot Disgusting sound in headphones + complete lack of bass. On the landing page, the manufacturer writes that it is "Hi-Res", but in fact it sounds like a cheap Chinese cassette player. Valve Index and HP Reverb G2 have the same headphones that sound very clear, spacious and deep bass compared to this helmet, and at the same time they do not adhere to the ears, but hang at a distance from them, making the helmet easy to put on and take off the head . Terrible materials (foam is used here, compared to the pleasant to the touch fabric on the Valve Index and HP Reverb G2) Disgusting software, which, as usual, even on a freshly installed Windows, did not start the first time and required a dance with a tambourine (reconnecting the linkbox, reconnecting the helmet, etc.). Even when changing the resolution, you have to wait until SteamVR restarts, which sometimes pisses me off. Headphones are very flimsy, they are very easy to break off

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

Has pros: It sits comfortably on the head, excellent image quality, light weight and good design. Easy to set up via Steam. Different cons: Viewing angle 120 degrees. Not critical, but there are helmets with a large viewing angle.

It's impossible to use, don't waste your money.

After reading the customer reviews, I placed an order with VRcover for a thin overlay that, in theory, should have solved the problems with field of view (FOV) and backlight (thanks to the double lenses, which are also used in the Valve Index, but this problem is not as noticeable there as it is in this helmet). However, the overlay did not have a significant effect on the issues: (I am disappointed).

    Pros
    • Tracking Handy connection box a very lengthy chord Adorable physical form
    Cons
    • Extremely limited field of view (vertical) Lights and so-called "Rays of God" (look at the last photo) little sweet spot Horrible sound quality on the headphones, with very no bass at all. The manufacturer claims that it is "Hi-Res" on the landing page, but in reality, it has the sound quality of an inexpensive Chinese cassette player. The headphones that come with the Valve Index and the HP Reverb G2 both produce a sound that is superior to this helmet in terms of its clarity, spaciousness, and depth of bass. In addition, these headphones do not adhere to the ears but rather hang at a distance from the ears, which makes it simpler to put the helmet on and take it off the wearer's head. Horrible materials (foam is used here, compared to the pleasant to the touch fabric on the Valve Index and HP Reverb G2) Horrible software that, as is the norm, did not run correctly the first time, even on a brand new installation of Windows, and needed the user to perform a dance while playing a tambourine (reconnecting the linkbox, reconnecting the helmet, etc.). Even after altering the resolution, you still have to wait for SteamVR to resume, which is something that irritates me from time to time. The headphones are made of a very weak material, and it is quite easy to damage or destroy them.

The HTC Vive Pro 2 is the best of a bad situation

Every VR headset has major flaws and flaws, but all in all I think the HTC Vive Pro 2 is the best VR gaming headset for consumers is that there is. I switched to it from the Valve Index, I would do it again, but there's a lot wrong with the Vive Pro 2 too. Pros: - The fact that it's a SteamVR headset with external tracking and compatibility with the Valve Index controller - The combined 4896x2448 resolution not only looks a lot better than 2880x1600 screens, it allows it to be also help you…

    • Very expensive

    Came broken on the PC

Came a broken device! I was so excited to try the vive peo and it defected! Everything was pluggable and there is 0 readouts on the Vive headset, this is unacceptable! Don't buy this again. Please be careful when you spend your money.

    Base stations bricks

I had 4 base stations from different orders bricked up with the required firmware update. Support insists this is the result of a hardware issue, which is completely absurd.

    • Delivery was very fast
    Cons
    • Packaging crumpled

    Very Disappointing - Headsets

I hoped the negative reviews were overblown, but they turned out to be very accurate. I was going to try this from the Valve Index when my cable broke. In anticipation of a replacement I decided to order a replacement headset and figured I'd try that instead of the second Index. But wow. Pros - It weighs less than the Index - a little more comfortable than the Index - can't see the net door effect. All well in focus seems to have excessive highlights than Index, outside of the very narrow spot…

HTC uses old design and lenses

Very disappointed Not suitable for narrow faces Lets light through. Terrible god rays. I have Quest 2 and Pimax 5K and both outperform Vive Pro 2.

    Pros
    • Don't waste too much time
    Cons
    • Boring packaging

It looks like the cable from the headset to the PC has some flaws. I may have just received a bad cable, but the customer service made me tear my hair out. And I'm a streamer too, not that it should matter but they didn't care to keep a happy customer who promoted this very headset until I ran into a cable issue and spoke to support. They just don't seem to care what they sell due to manufacturing or design defects. That's a pity too.

Quality isn't worth the premium price

I've been using this headset for a few weeks now. Here's my take: Pros: - Really good image quality up to 120fps. - Wide horizontal field of view. Cons: - More weight at the front of the headset, causing the front of the headset to tilt down. Because of this, the entire image becomes blurry. I don't like over-ear headphones because of the heat. The microphone is one of the worst qualities for a VR headset. - Other VR headset users can easily find that the vertical field of view is small. .Will…

    Dog water pc for headsets

Complete junk, $800 for it?! It is disrespectful to try to sell such a junk product for $800. The initial setup was long and tedious and broke my picture 2 times, the sound sucks, god beams are awful and to top it off the sweet stop is less than ReVerbG2 for $200 less. You'll be a lot happier with G2 even if you have a smaller field of vision, not to mention the fact that you don't have to pay extra for the controller and beacons.

    • Stylish and modern design
    Cons
    • Damaged

Too many problems and the price is a joke for what you get

This thing had so many problems before I could get it to work and it still doesn't work in many games. Also, it's backwards, the headset is only sold if you need the whole set. And I just bought and installed a 3080ti hoping it would fix the buggy VR I had when upgrading from the 1060. Well, it didn't fix the crash, but the frame rate did noticeably increase, as expected. But still the FPS for DCS World is below 30. All I tried was playing the DCS World in VR with near max graphics settings and

A little disappointed with the lenses

I've been using the original Vive for a long time. I was getting annoyed with the weird gradient lenses, so I grabbed some nice clear replacement lenses I found online for $50. They made the Vive a pleasure to use. I recently upgraded to Pro 2 and I feel like I've taken a step backwards. For all the complaints I've read about weird lenses over the years, I find the same lens design in the Pro 2. The only difference is that it's a different lens shape, meaning I can't use Vive's upgraded lenses…

Didn't quite buy it well, had a little trouble using it.

Took in addition to the second Quest. Now, in general, I understand why virtual reality before the Quest was a niche and highly specialized product - okay, I'm an enthusiast, otherwise not everyone can spend 4-5 hours setting up and finishing the setup, when you can just buy a hat that you literally just put on on the head and forward - to surf the open spaces.

    Pros
    • - A clear picture, many times clearer than the helmets that I used before
    Cons
    • - I barely ated the base station drivers, the helmet stubbornly refused to install the Bluetooth driver, in general, it started up after 3-4 hours - due to the point above, the base stations stubbornly sat on the same channel, which is why they did not work - "God rays" from the lenses are simply amazing, on dark scenes everything is illuminated with white light. The mask from VRCover and bringing the picture closer to the eyes do not save the situation much - Deluxe Audio Strap turned out to be incompatible with the helmet, I had to buy adapters printed on a 3D printer - in 2022 retail it is simply unreasonably expensive - it should cost about $ 1,800, but in 2022 it costs all $ 3,000 if you convert into dollars
