🖊️ HUION 420 OSU Tablet: Compact Graphics Drawing Pen Tablet with Digital Stylus - Ideal for Creatives, Artists, and OSU Gaming - 4 x 2.23 Inches Review

This tablet was sent to me for review and I love it 100% for beginners. I'm a full-time artist, so this didn't fit my normal day-to-day needs. But for a gift or if someone you know wants to be an artist, this is a great way to try your hand at digital art. It took me years to figure out that this is what I want to do and I've done it all on a tablet very similar to this one. You really can't go wrong.

You cannot use this on Windows 10 without going to the manufacturer's website to download and install the driver. Luckily my antivirus caught that. The driver contains a computer virus - DO NOT INSTALL IT. If you look it up on the internet, you will see that others have experienced it too. I returned mine for a refund. For those who have the driver installed, I would run an antivirus on your computer!

Good sized tablet and very responsive. The nice thing about the standard grip that comes with the kit is that it has a little flare at the bottom to keep your fingers from slipping off the grip. I like it. I also have another pen they have for this tablet which is good as it is rechargeable. I use it to play OSU (rhythm based game) and it works fantastic. You can adjust the sensitivity, disable the buttons on the side of the pen and all that. Good buy for the money. I love it.

I should have gone with the 430 which has a strain relief cable, no pen battery required and a slightly larger tablet area. Otherwise this tablet is great. Connect and it will work automatically. Drivers are also available and the website was easy to find. The documents are in PDF format on the website, so we can store everything on our NAS instead of keeping CDs and boxes forever. good, and the movement is smooth. I have Mac OSX and I've had problems with Intuos and other tablets. If you buy this write to the MFC and get a link to the beta software which was fantastic where the stock software (drivers) had a few Photoshop crashes (freezes). I fly a lot and needed to save weight and it really helps with this very thin very light and works well, the grip isn't as good as the Intuos but about the same as the Bamboo series which I also use own. especially for the price it is worth every cent. Works great with newer Linux kernels. I use GIMP and it was recognized immediately. I have dual screen and the tablet confuses me about the "window" setting, but the "screen" works fine and I still enjoy using the tablet. I disabled all HUION devices except "420 Pen" which is set to "Screen". The configuration can be found in GIMP underedit/preferences/input devices/extended input devices and underedit/input devices. I was surprised that this "off" brand is more responsive and just works better

This is my first tablet and it is very easy to use and install. It comes with extra tips but no batteries (for the pen). You have to buy them separately. After a few months of painting, I noticed a few scratches on the tablet's surface, but that's to be expected since it's made of very light plastic. I liked it when I realized it's a little different from the mouse movement. Then it only took a few hours to work very well with it. I thought it was broken right away because I didn't get it at first: you basically hover on the panel to move the cursor, then tap the pad to left-click. I dragged the tip of the pen across the pad, which seemed intuitive because that's how the mouse works: you move it across the table to move the cursor.
