Retains water too much. It just sits in it after a rain and that's not something I want before someone walks into my house.

This outdoor mat is exactly what I was looking for. Nothing flashy or luxurious but functional, and durable. It is heavy enough that it will stay put and not move around when you wipe your footings. I place it on my outdoor step where there is abundant sunshine and the material won't crack or fade and still retain its resiliency. I currently live in an apartment with 3 cats, a husband who works at the mill, and have a child on the way. I find this mat super easy to clean off and shake out when my husband inevitably gets dirt all over it. All it needs is a good shake and possibly a rinse depending on how dirty it gets. The harder outline of the mat came broken into pieces (possible due to the way it's shipped, rolled up rather tightly.)Also the mat has a strong rubber smell when out of the box, so I suggest airing it out before using.Overall, the design and material choice makes sense compared to other products (rubber/synthetic fibers).

Doesn’t absorb a thing, so water collects on top and does not drain well. Good thing it cleans well and doesn’t absorb water- so doesn’t mold. It needs a slant or something for rain water to drain off the sides.

Does hold water if gets wet or after a heavy rain. Little smaller that thought it would be. Pretty and light. I bought four all alike.

This is exactly what I hoped for. Appears well made. Doesn’t want to be completely flat even after leaving heavy phone books on it for a week, but it’s right on the edge, so it should be okay. It did have a pretty heavy VOC smell but we keep it outside so that’s also not a problem.

I like the mat, looks good!, but it's little smaller than I expected for my door. It doesn't absorb the water from the shoes when snows, but it cleans the snow. There're not perfect outdoor mat for a cold environment.

I read the reviews and people stated that it doesn't drain. The lip on the edges holds the water in place. I drilled some holes into it in the traction material so you can't see them. It still doesn't drain. I wind up flipping it over after a big rain and letting it sit for awhile. The rain doesn't bother me building up in there, but when winter comes you know what happens to all the melted snow or water accumulation at night. I love how it looks, but I have it outside my back porch where there is a small overhang and any water that gets on it just sits on it and it gets drenched.
