Ever since they came out with a big ad campaign with the Swiss Railroad watch a long time ago, I have been a fan of Mondaine watches. I own two Evo quartz, one automatic, and one Savonette manual-winding pocket watch. Mondaine also has an exceelent customer service (you send an email inquiry and they actually reply within 24 hours or so). Got this from my brother in Europe. Had to have some links taken out and the watch repair guy asked me if he could wear the watch for a few days. It's not too heavy, quiet (no sound whatsoever)and precise! Love it. Oh, and I can take it into the pool no problem! Have worn it daily for over 3 years now, and it still looks and acts like new.

I got this for my husband, who is Swiss. He loves how it's like the Swiss railroad clocks. He had another one, but this one has the day and date which, for retired people, ((for whom every day is Saturday) is necessary.

I really like this watch and the look is awesome. The only thing that takes a little time to navigate is taking the watch off.I did have to take to a jeweler to take out two links which cost $10.great watch and has kept great time.

I've only been wearing the watch a week but so far, so good. It looks great and is a good size - not too big, not too small. And I didn't buy the watch for the approval of others, but tons of people, including strangers, have commented on how much they like it.
