Works normally out of the box without any adjustments

I bought this to check if my building had enough ventilation for my bedroom. Seems to be working correctly. The lowest values were around 450 after being away from home all day, which is about right for an urban area. After an open night, the reading was around 550, which is safe. After half an hour of hard gymnastics, it rose to 950 and dropped below 600 for several hours. When I breathed on it for about two minutes, it rose above 1000 and a loud alarm sounded. I started using it right away…

Pros
  • Measuring range: CO2: 0 ~ 2000ppm (2001 ~ 9999ppm, off-scale); Humidity: 0.0~99.9%; Temperature: -10.0~60.0°C (14~140°F)
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Automatic Baseline Calibration (ABC). ABC corrects for sensor drift by assuming the meter sniffs normal air every 7 days. Normal air is 400ppm, so the baseline is adjusted accordingly. I wrote to the company to ask what the calibration would be for the IR sensor drift. I love that this meter comes with the actual full specs including how quickly the sensor responds to changes in CO2 (see PDF on their website): Range: 02000ppm {20019999 (off scale)} Accuracy ± 50ppm ± 5% of the reading ( 02000)…

Pros
  • Built-in Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensor: provides long-term and accurate continuous monitoring
Cons
  • blunt packaging

Really good at indoor air quality meters

My house is very dense and sealed and as I read articles in the New York Times about the negative effects of carbon dioxide accumulation on the perception, I decided to try a CO2 meter. I was shocked to see the CO2 levels in my office go over 1000 which was alarming! It is too much. It won't kill you, but it will affect your cognitive abilities. (And it seems these levels are often high in offices and classrooms.) So I made sure the window was ajar and the exhaust fan was running, and indeed…

Pros
  • Power supply: 12V power supply with 1A output With 100-240V power input and power supply
Cons
  • Available in black only
