I'll be buying another one for my living room! I wanted one in my kitchen for small appliances and to charge my tablet and phone. I have a few plugs left. Cool! You just need to remove the screw from the socket, install this device and screw in the screw that is inside the device to ground it. And it's ready to go. No cables other than those on your devices.

My first attempt at connecting met a lot of resistance; like I hit a wall. The connector entered another slot without (I mean no) resistance - and immediately fell out. After playing around with it a bit, it can seem like the jack under each plug hole doesn't always align properly, causing my brick wall and dropout collisions. It's hard to believe that this is actually a UL recognized device.

This fits nicely in my standard outlet. It feels nice and sturdy but as others have said I had to leave the old cap on because the back doesn't really fit into the socket. No problem. The screw is long enough. Like all new outlets, they are very tight, requiring force to insert the plugs. But it's powerful enough that I don't have to use two hands to knock it out, so I think that's a bonus. Charging is good and convenient.
