Simply a bad product from Netgear.

zero stars this product is so bad. Don't waste time trying to fix the problem. This should work immediately with the push of a button. Just google "Ex8000 connection problem when disconnected". Does this thing change after installation? I have a Netgear R7000 router and my computer skills are above average. I had every reason to get it working from a big brand. Bad with Netgear, they just had a problem and pushed the model back with no support.

Brick Wall Breaker

NETGEAR AC3000 is a great WiFi range extender. I live in an old New England house with thick walls and floors. The WIFI router in the house struggled to deliver a stable signal to the 2nd floor - barely a trace of connected devices on the 2nd floor with random disconnects. I spent some time researching WiFi range extenders and decided that NETGEAR would be the best option. The repaired device also made financial sense. Setup is easy, no-fuss, and the results are amazing! After pairing a 2.4g…

Netgear EX8000 solved our home network speed problem

We have a Comcast home network which is on the lower level where the cable enters our house. With this level almost completely finished, we had no choice but to place the main level where most of our internet access points are located. Since the router's signal is very weak on the main plane, we first tried Comcast modules, which offer better coverage but at very low speeds. We bought a refurbished Netgear EX8000 hoping it would offer better coverage as well as faster speeds. It was very easy…

Great repeater for the back of a big house

I just bought a new 87 inch LG TV and NVidia GForce RTX 3080 gaming PC for the meeting room which is about 1200 feet from our cable modem . routers. I have a Netgear Nighthawk RAX120 on my cable modem (which can reach the whole house, yard and a bit down the street) but figured I'd get this extender to give me lots of ethernet cables and a seamless one Extension of me to create existing network. It was very easy to connect to my existing Nighthawk router and just emulate a single (unified)…

Don't waste your money on Netgear WiFi Extender

I bought Netgear WiFi Mesh Range EX-8000 from Revain. When it arrived it turned out to be a certified refurbished unit. This was not clearly marked when purchased. The extender was relatively easy to set up and boosted the signal so Wi-Fi worked in rooms far from the router. So far, so good. Unfortunately, the extension cord that arrived on November 1st began to fail in February. At the end of February, the expander was shut down and had to be restarted almost every day. On March 8, the…

Easy setup, same SSID as router, incredible range.

Here's what happened. I bought two WiFi security cameras and installed them at the end of my house on the street, with the Nighthawk router about 100 feet upstairs. The signal must reach the floor and 7 walls. Guess what? My Amcrest Wifi cameras were not working. I knew they wouldn't work, but I hoped the Nighthawk's staid range router would surprise me. I decided to look for a repeater because I already had holes drilled in the walls for cameras (idiot). I found this one and I love how it…
