Description of Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV 225/60 R18 104R winter

The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV Scandinavian-type studless winter tire is designed specifically for SUVs. Grip on slippery surfaces is improved by the Cryo Crystal 3 concept, a central stiff rib gives stability at high speeds, and pump sipes reduce the risk of aquaplaning. Heavy-duty aramid fibers added to the sidewall rubber compound provide exceptional wear and tear resistance in external impacts and obstacles. Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV tires provide stability, comfort and increased reliability in operation. The winter tire Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV, like the previous model, is designed for SUV class cars. The operational properties are selected taking into account the road and climatic conditions of the countries of Northern Europe and Russia. They are distinguished by reliable traction properties that remain at extremely low temperatures, increased flotation in snow, fuel efficiency and reliability. Reinforced sidewallsOne of the features of the tire is the reinforced sidewall construction. Their structure contains aramid fibers. They increase the rigidity and mechanical strength of the sidewalls. In addition, this solution further enhances directional stability during maneuvering and high-speed traffic. Increased rib in the center The development of the tire was carried out in parallel with the model of the same name for passenger cars. One of the key differences from it is the increased size of the longitudinal rib located in the center of the tread. This decision is dictated by the increased weight and higher center of gravity of SUVs. The enlarged center rib has better resistance to deformation. This increases the stability of the coupling properties, and also facilitates the process of driving the car due to faster and more accurate reactions to the driver''s actions. Several types of sipesWith no studs, the tire demonstrates confident behavior on icy surfaces. This is largely due to the use of several types of lamellas. Slots are located in the shoulder zones, which are blocked in the open position in such a way that the mobility of the entire block as a whole is limited. As a result, in addition to the formation of numerous transverse edges, such sipes increase the stability of grip properties, especially during longitudinal accelerations on icy and wet surfaces. In the central part there are lamellas with a slightly different functionality. These slots contain voids that trap and retain moisture from the road surface. As a result, the contact patch dries up, which improves grip on wet and icy surfaces. Improved snow flotation The tire''s tread pattern contains numerous triangular grooves. Most of the part is located longitudinally next to and in the shoulder areas. These elements, when in contact with a snow-covered surface due to their shape and zigzag...

The right product for me, the price suited me.

Got pros: Quiet, smooth, well balanced. For friction, a very good "hold". Got cons: 2 tires came in the 20th year, and 2 others in the 18th year, but this is already a question for the tire service where I bought it. ABS now kicks in on hard braking. On Hakkapellit 9, my Land Rover Discovery braked exclusively with spikes, I practically did not hear abs. On ice, you need to be careful when braking and turning. Squeals in the parking lot on the corners, as soft.

Excellent product, the best quality.

The photos were taken on not very clean rubber, as it is -) so as not to think that the review is fake. =) R3 was taken in 18 and 20 radius for different cars, let's see what they can do this winter and how they behave.

Pros
  • I took an R3. I went to R2, Viatti and different spikes. (on personal cars - Velcro, working - spikes) r20 Rubber in St. Petersburg 05/11/19. I was driving during a snowstorm in the area of +2, it keeps the road well. I drove 100/120/140 - normal, no difference between summer and winter tires.
Cons
  • While it is difficult to talk about them, I hope they will not. (I'm ready to add a review later when the weather appears) I took R3 specially - to check what was done new from R2. (maybe just a publicity stunt)

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

The second Velcro I've owned in my life, and I couldn't be happier with it, in spite of the fact that a very broad 285/40 / R20, which performs admirably in both negative temperatures and slush, does not pop up at speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour. H without a doubt, together with an equally assured start and stop, To this point, I have such impressions. Machine-Audi Q7.

Pros
  • 1) Relatively gentle 2) Able to maintain an acceptable level of acoustic isolation over the whole speed range up to 190 km/h. 3) Very tenacious for Velcro. 4) Keep a clean car at all times while driving. 5) You should not be terrified of ice, but you should always keep your head on your shoulders.
Cons
  • Not yet disclosed to the public.

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

Provide suggestions regarding the purchase of tires. According to my analysis, the manufacturer was successful in striking the right balance between the qualities of friction rubber needed for the northern winter. Car of the second generation of the Mazda CX-5, with four-wheel drive.

Pros
  • Since two weeks ago, I've been wearing shoes with the model number R3 SUV 225/55R19. One week of work on asphalt that is clean at a temperature of -3 to -10. After another week of heavy precipitation, this time in the form of rain and snow, the temperature is going to plummet to -18. On clean asphalt in the summer it is tenacious and soft, on an icy incline from the garage there is no slippage, on city streets in the snow everything is good (tires are cleaned thoroughly), and in the winter there were no problems either. During operation there were no issues. To claim that the rubber is noisy is an inaccurate statement because the tongue will not turn; nonetheless, it seems as though the Pirelli ice zero friction 225/45R19 tires (which I drove for three winters) are a little bit quieter on the pavement. Pirelli, on the other hand, experienced difficulties on porridge and in ice.
Cons
  • No deficiencies identified so yet. During the course of the following operations, I will make an effort to add more to the review.

Nokian R3 in size 245/50r19 with Velcro and not RUN FLAT. Since the selection is limited, I gave this decision some serious thought. ...and pretty much everything that uses RUN FLAT technology. Because of how harsh our winters can be and how much snow and ice we have, I only ever utilize RUN FLAT in the summer. Actually, that's what I intended to say)) After considering it for a few days and looking for (and failing to find) reviews of tires like this, I made the decision to give it a shot…

Pros
  • Quite, capable of retaining the road, and with small stopping distances.
Cons
  • all right

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

In 2022, I purchased tires for a new vehicle. Already 2.5 seasons of skating on them. The odometer reads 90000 km in total. Prior to that, I had been riding on R2 friction tires, which were wonderful but only lasted for two seasons before swiftly wearing out. Without a doubt, I made the decision to drive the brand-new 2022 Hakkapelita R3. The best are tires. There is less noise than in Yokohama throughout the summer. All surfaces, including dry and wet asphalt, snow, slush, snowdrifts, and ice…

Pros
  • Outstanding road holding. does not produce sound. Comfortable. resistant to wear. good steering. Economical. fantastic on snowdrifts. holds ice well.
Cons
  • No

Completely unbalanced wheels, which is not covered by the factory warranty, because. they think tire imbalance is normal I bought winter non-studded tires in March 2022, but I didn’t notice any problems right away. Problems appeared when I drove out of town at a speed of about 80-90 km / h and above. Tires transmit strong vibration and beats to the car. Since I mostly move around the city, I rarely noticed this drawback, but every time I watched it, I thought that when installing the tires…

Pros
  • Very quiet tires
Cons
  • Tires come with a large imbalance from the factory, which is a manufacturing defect, but this is not covered by the tire warranty. Nokian offers to send the tires to the factory to be checked at their own expense, in the hope that no one will mess with them. The extended warranty was denied, because. according to their answer, imbalance is the norm.

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

Despite the fact that I put 8000 kilometers on my all-wheel drive Crete (215/60 R17), the number 8 did not wear off the indicator dials over the two seasons I owned it. My experience has been that it is incredibly calm here, even more so than the typical summer in Neksen. There are no issues encountered with braking or starting on any surface, with the exception of ice. But ice is also distinct in its own way. There are no issues with starting, but the braking distance is simply enormous, even…

Pros
  • Quiet
Cons
  • Expensive
