Excellent speed and range

Excellent range and speeds! I saw an immediate increase in the speed of my internet service. The phone app is easy to use and easy to customize. I would prefer browser setting along with application setting.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Something different

Incredible value for the plug and play user

Integrating the M9 into my current M5 setup was easy! I don't use Zwave or Zig-Bee devices, so I can't comment on that. Love the fact that this is a tri band system and it works with my current system. What I would welcome is an expanded address reservation. I need much more than 16 reserved addresses.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Legacy model

Perfection in all its glory!

I've used so many different high-end routers and extenders, not counting Ling's hours of troubleshooting and trying to get them to work. No problem. It took 20 minutes to connect. Decors do all the work for you

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

My speed doubled instantly (measured with Speedtest.net from multiple locations and devices). The second block wasn't even needed. However, I ended up sending it back. That's why. My wireless printer is connected to the network, but the router didn't see it, and none of my computers did. I also tried adding the Alexa integration but the Alexa app reported that this router is not compatible. I contacted TP-Link support but they were unhelpful and asked why I want to use Alexa with the router.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Secret

Make Whole House Wi-Fi Name

I bought this because my friend has it in his house and I helped him install it. I used to only have a cable company router and a wireless extender. The problem with this system was that the extender and router had two different Wi-Fi names, and you had to switch from name to name as you went to different parts of the house. At the same time, it has a name for the whole house and is very easy to set up. It has very good parental controls that you can set up to limit your child's internet usage.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little Things

No, fully operational

There are many mesh systems out there these days; much more than when the first systems were released. Manufacturers jump on the bandwagon and regularly bring semi-finished products onto the market. This is one of those releases. I got into this grid after using Apple Airports for the last 15 years when Apple announced it would no longer be updating and manufacturing the Airport line. It's time to look at newer "better" technologies. Today I have Eero (not recommended) and both series M5/M9.1…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
