Ideal for DVD and Blu-ray recordings

Quiet. I bought it to watch DVDs and Blu-rays on my computer and Roku. Doesn't work for Roku. It requires a USB port, which also serves as a power source. It's not easy to find.

  • Slim design

Ideal for many applications. Very reliable

I work with attorneys who spend their days sifting through Blu-ray CDs. The slot prevents users from deforming the tray by inserting and removing discs. you hold up better. Version compartments break faster. Pioneer honors its warranty. They are in the process of overhauling two of their top loading Blu-ray burners. I had no problems at all with the slot burner. It's worth the extra money for durability.

No, this is NOT compatible with Mac OS

This is absolutely not compatible with Mac. Mac firmware is not currently available for this product. I spoke to Pioneer support and they said I would need to purchase third party burning software. You mentioned Roxio, which costs around $70. They have no plans to fix it.

Plays CDs great via USB-C (Thunderbolt)

My needs are (so far) simple to rip a few CDs. This does a great job of quickly copying content to my laptop via USB-C, and I love the size of this device.

  • There's something in there

Doesn't burn BD-R at 16x speed as title says

I think I should have looked into this a little more. Description - Pioneer BDR-XS07S Silver 16X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 12X BD-ROM is wrong. I absolutely loved burning BD-R discs at 16x. I put in my 16x BD-R disc, launched the Cyberlink burning software and when the write speed went up to 6x - What the heck! I looked at the specs of the recording on the box and found it would only work with BD-R at 6x. Thanks for the disappointment! Otherwise I'm sure it's a great device. So far it has…

Separate non-USB power adapter required

Received this item in the mail today and after pulling it out and trying to use it it didn't work. What the description doesn't say is that you may need to purchase a power cord separately as your computer may not be providing enough power (unless I've missed that important detail). This is important information that should be included in the description. So here I am trying to find the power cord for this model and I can't find one for this model and also the website is down so I can't go…

High quality device

After researching many devices online, I decided on this Pioneer Blu-ray/DVD/CD recorder. I am very happy with my purchase. This is a high quality machine that is easy to use and capable of handling different sizes of discs at different speeds. I plugged it in and it was ready to use. I already had a program to start the device, so it wasn't difficult to work with. I just got a new computer and was unhappy that they no longer come with two drives. So I had to buy an external unit. I'm on the…

Does the job, bundled software is totally useless

I bought this disc to back up my BluRay collection so I can stream it over LAN. I may have misread the description and specs, but I was under the impression that it could read 4K UHD discs, but unfortunately it can't - that's one star.
