I love perch but can't use it horizontally.

I like perch but I can't use it on the birdcage poles. Can only be attached to vertical poles. Should have mentioned it in the description.

  • Easy installation

Parrot Perch on Perches

My parrots love this perch to rub their beaks and keep their claws under control. I like that it has a smooth surface so feet don't get blistered if they decide to nap on it. It's easy to clean and attach to the cage (my cage has a vertical grid).

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Instant choice for my bird

I don't often write reviews but I was pleasantly surprised to see that my green perky kennel started using this perch almost immediately. It wasn't long before he started stroking it with his beak. It's nice to see how it interacts with it as it's meant to be used because I admit my bird is spoiled and has many other options to choose from. But this perch, with the right placement, immediately interested him. Thank you sweet feet! Ps Sorry for the crappy pics!

Nearly perfect. on cages and accessories

This product is great but I give it 4 stars because it only attaches to vertical bars. My birdcage has a vertical front and back that is basically a door. So. It is very limited where you put it and as all bird owners know, it depends a lot on where you put it whether a bird will use it. It seems like an easy solution for the manufacturer to just make the mount completely straight and lower like most other basses. I have it in a good place for my tench but not my lovebird.

It doesn't look like perch.

I ordered an XL perch for my Scarlet Macaw. Her claws are growing insanely fast so we're trying to give her a rough perch. Well, there are two strips of pumice glued to it, but it doesn't look like it's going to be very useful as the strips aren't very hefty. It doesn't look like perch either. It is fully functional and IS a PERCH but more of an adult "toy" in bright turquoise lol. Perhaps this would be ideal for a much smaller bird, but for my girl it's no more than an interesting looking…

Bigger than expected

I was shocked at the size of this bass, I ordered medium as it was the recommended size for cockatiels. I gasped when I opened the package! I called an avian specialist I knew and she said my bird was fine. It took Topaz a day or two to decide whether she liked it or not, but she's gotten used to it now and uses it quite a bit. If I had to redo it, I would still go with a smaller size that is 1 inch in diameter. Like sand on a perch, only the claws touch the sand and the delicate feet touch the

Best perch in cages and accessories

I'm so glad we bought this. First we bought the smallest one for our parrots, it's actually too small. So we bought the next size up and it's perfect. I like that there is a smooth surface at the top where the balls of her feet are. So the pumice stone doesn't cause bad blisters. Our birds aren't fully tamed yet, so we can't clip their claws. It helps a lot. They also like to bite. I didn't think he could handle so much abuse. But it is so. Now we have 4 of them in the cage and they prefer them

Misleading description of size

The medium says it is 10 inches long but when it arrived I immediately noticed it was larger and measured it. In fact, it's a full 12 inches from the base to the end of the pole. Before ordering this I specifically measured the inside of my kennel cage where I wanted to place this perch and 10 inches was perfect. Now it doesn't fit because it's 2 inches too big! boo It's a good perch and I usually trade it in for a small size. However, as others have pointed out, this is ONLY correct along the…

We were desperately looking for a new perch

Our 26 year old gray parrot (Socrates) is very picky about everything from food to toys. Most of the time, when you add something new for a change, she completely ignores it. Or, if you're a very pushy owner and put it in a corner, she might try six months after you put something in her cage. It only took her two days to try out this new perch. We have five different perches in her cage at different levels so she can change her mind at will. When a perch is worn out, we try to find another…
