If you're buying this for a Mac, don't buy it! The seller's description says it's compatible with Mac. When Didi opened the box, it clearly said NOT FOR MAC WINDOWS ONLY!

Excellent product, very useful tool. I've had it for a while and it works great. Scans very quickly and accurately. Assembly was very easy and the instructions were clear. I use it to take notes and translate research papers I've read and it saves a lot of work. It can easily scan entire paragraphs. The main advantage is that I didn't have to read from the computer screen and I can still easily transfer notes to my computer.

Great product and customer service. I'm currently in law school and this saves me tons of time! Some of my classmates also bought them because they are so comfortable. And I foolishly lost my code and contacted the seller and he made a new one for me. Highly recommended. The only negative thing I can say is that I envy all the cool colors that are out there now that didn't exist when I bought mine. This is definitely a must-read for law school!

When I purchased this product, I was unaware that it was subject to an annual recurring fee for a software license to use the PDF printing feature. I was just billed $30.98 and this fee must be paid annually for using the scan marker pen. You need to know this before you buy. In addition, the scanner requires an extremely steady hand. I was so excited about this pen scanner. I read a lot on my Nook and love the feature to highlight passages I like. I also still read tons of paper copies and think I can do the same with this product. This is VERY difficult with a paperback or even hardcover that doesn't look like a textbook, but it took a few tries to pick up lines and then missing letters or whole words. While *there* is a slight learning curve to overcome in order to use this product successfully, it's still, dare I say it, an amazing device that WORKS. Sometimes I have a hard time remembering exactly where I read something, and after a week or two the many tabs in my books aren't that useful anymore. The Scanmarker Air Pen is a nice addition to my writing tool box. The software is easy to install and the pen is very easy to use. The pen itself is very light and works great on flat pages - meaning you'll need to flatten the middle of the book a bit to get a good scan.
