High quality, low price

Unmanila is very sturdy and tying tight small knots can be a little challenging so keep that in mind when ordering thicker rope. This stuff is great, no toxic smells or dusty mess like you will usually get from natural fiber ropes in this price point.

Pros
  • ‎10.1 x 10.1 x 8.4 inches
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in military applications

Dont count on 100FT in every roll

Seems like good rope, however 2 of the 4 100Ft rolls I purchased were not a true 100 Ft. One was about 6 inches shy, the other about 8 inches shy. Fortunately for me 2 of the lengths I needed were less than 100 ft, however I had to re string one of my lines 3 times, to find the roll that was actually 100 ft long. Job took longer than it should have due to re-stringing.

Pros
  • Border along lake front
Cons
  • May not float in water

Great looking, durable synthetic rope!

This rope was perfect for my outdoor landscaping application, and much cheaper than another supplier I've used prior to finding Sgt. Knots. I've seen some reviews that criticize the fact that this rope is "plastic" and doesn't tie knots as well as "real" rope. Well, they're right: it is plastic, but the words "Polypropylene Cord" in the product title should have been their first clue (polypropylene=plastic). The qualities of polypropylene rope (which are also listed in…

Pros
  • Resistant to rot, mildew, and fungal growth, making it suitable for use in damp environments
Cons
  • May not have adequate ozone resistance

Rope handrails! best in my review

Great product for the price. Adds that beach feel to a deck built in the city or country. Also the homeowners love it. Hardware.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • May not have adequate compression strength

When unraveled does not hang straight

I was slightly disappointed with this product. As you can see, I used the cord for my wedding but when we unraveled the cord I was horrified that it didn’t hang straight. We pulled on it and tried twisting it the opposite way to help straighten it.Also, this cord was not convenient to cut! And once you did cut it to your desired length it would unravel. Thankfully I had a bridesmaid grab clear tape on her way to the rehearsal dinner to tape the end together! It did end up working just fine for us

Pros
  • Non-abrasive, non-stretch, and easy to handle, ensuring efficient and ergonomic use
Cons
  • May not resist insect infestation

Rope it up - my new review

I used this rope to braid with another to hang across the fence posts to hang solar lights on and it worked great! May stretch under heavy loads!

Pros
  • Easy to splice
Cons
  • May stretch under heavy loads

Fantastic quality in my review

So nice. I bought it to see the "end" of the parking place, which is a stone floor some 3 feet over the ground. Makes it easy not to go too far!

Pros
  • No rope splinters
Cons
  • Can be slippery when wet

Perfect outdoor solution for nautical decor! Bold and sturdy!

This is the perfect option for outdoors in a tropical climate. The this 1.5” thickness gives a notable presence yet maintains it’s size during wet weather. We first tried an outdoor hemp but it stretched and would shrink based on heating/drying. It is the look we were hoping for!

Pros
  • Suitable for use in marine environments as it is highly resistant to saltwater and marine growths
Cons
  • May not resist microbial growth

Strong rope! in my review

Read up on how to take apart and intertwine so it’s not as thick when hanging swings. Turned out perfect. Burned the ends to ensure it holds up the weight. Tied knots at bottoms for swing. Knots have held fine over the past several weeks of it being up and kids bouncing on and off it. Great rope all in all. My husband found it on here to use. I love how it turned out.

Pros
  • Appears to be high quality and strong. Better than what I replaced so I'm pleased.
Cons
  • May tangle easily

Used them for cornhole board handles.

I used them for cornhole boards for carrying handles. Nice ropes. Not flimsy. Smaller ropes would probably hurt your hands trying to carry the boards. These have a nice circumference.

Pros
  • Liked the rope. Used it to wrap a dock piling. Adds a lot to the look. Expect it to last a long time.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in pharmaceutical industry

Beautifully made product.

Previously used hemp rope and discolored and rotted. This rope is man made and will not rot, UV resistant. The rope maker suggest you burn the ends which will melt it and keep it from unraveling. I went further and wrapped it with gorilla tape. Then as you can see in the picture are used a 4 inch screw with a large washer to stabilize the rope at the endpoint. In between the posts I put a 6 inch screw through the rope so it would be stable between posts. Wrap the portion of the rope that the…

Pros
  • Suitable for use in commercial environments such as construction, manufacturing, and transportation
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with bases

Great for a Deck Railing

We ordered 100 feet of rope to use as a railing for our deck. The rope arrived quickly and seems to be of good quality (I can’t speak to durability since we’ve just installed it). This was exactly what we needed for our project and the service was extremely smooth. Thanks!

Pros
  • A little more stiff than I thought it would be but worked ok fo me. I used it to tie up my tomatoes.
Cons
  • Not suitable for heavy-duty tasks

Good quality in my review

Good to use to make a Hampton Wreath. Will need to order two 1/4 x100 ft. to complete a 16 inch wreath. The rope is good quality and sturdy.

Pros
  • Wrapped around a tire to make this foot stool
Cons
  • May not be environmentally friendly

Nice quality. Smaller diameter than expected

Just FYI, I bought the 1 inch diameter rope expecting it to be just shy of 1 inch. The true diameter measured with calipers is 0.84 inches. Anything bigger wouldn't have fit through a 1 inch drilled hole through a 4×4 post so it worked out perfectly. Try the adhesive shrink wrap caps (I used 1 1/2") to seal the ends permanently.

Pros
  • Lightweight composition makes it easy to store and maneuver
Cons
  • May not meet industry standards for quality

Excellent product! best in my review

We used this rope as railing for our dock, and couldn't be happier with the product! Great quality, durable, very sturdy. We are thrilled!

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • May not have adequate chemical resistance

Heavy duty best in my review

I’ve only been using this rope for a couple of weeks, so I can’t comment on the durability yet. I’ll try to update after we’ve had it for a while. But so far the rope appears quite sturdy and more than capable of handling the various tree swings we have on our property.

Pros
  • I wrapped the bed posts in the rope and it was strong and smooth.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with winches or pulleys

Great rope on my review.

Great product that’s perfect for outdoors. I used it for cargo style railings and even did a single rope braid with it. I just ordered more!

Pros
  • Just what I needed to finish my mirror project
Cons
  • May not be biodegradable

Know how to finish good for me

The rope is high quality. It does come wrapped up so there are bends in the rope. Depending what you are using it for, this could become tricky. I needed to submerge several times in boiling water to reshape the bends out of the rope. The ends are also a bit tricky. Instructions were to tape off tightly and burn. I put over gas stove flame to melt ends. Made for a bit of a messy end so I had to try several times. One note, do not use a chop saw or circular saw to cut! I used a knife and some…

Pros
  • Triple strand twist design ensures maximum durability and stability even under the harshest of conditions
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with solvents

Kinda manila: my feedback

Kinda like manila, but more like plastic manila. Not what I was expecting. Really just wanted good ole manila rope for this project. Would not buy again - for this project.

Pros
  • ‎Polypropylene
Cons
  • May not have adequate flexibility

Hanging twin bed porch swing

Love the look/feel and ease of install for this rope on our homemade twin bed porch swing. Don’t know how long it will last but pleased with purchase so far.

Pros
  • High tensile strength means that it is capable of holding up under heavy loads and stress
Cons
  • May not have adequate flame resistance
