The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

To be honest, I had a prejudiced attitude towards Sigma that you couldn’t get a good picture from it. Everything changed after the first shoot. Graphs, lab tests, it doesn't matter. You either like the picture or you don't. And I liked the picture from the lens

Pros
  • Fast focus. Sharp even at 600mm. Stabilization. Moisture protection.
Cons
  • Traveling trunk (do not like the look).

Lens Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM (S).

delivered in a box in a box in another box. Well packed for safety. The lens is amazing. The programming seemed a little intimidating but got away with some guesswork as to what might work and after 3 tries it was set up so the images were crisp. I use it on my Nikon D810. It's heavy and takes some getting used to, and I bought a monopod with a swivel head to keep it steady, which works pretty well. I am very happy with this lens. I hated the cloth lens cap and ordered the Sigma 105mm plastic…

3 month lens test

I used to use Sigma 50-500mm. I wanted to get a little closer to the birds I shoot. 600 mm seemed to be the ticket. It turned out to be a very good investment. Focus is quick and accurate - he doesn't seem surprised by the search. The lens is heavy, and while I've gotten some great handheld shots, I'd recommend anyone using this lens for any length of time to at least consider a monopod (my pick). The only real issue I have with the lens is the lens hood mounting screw. The problem only occurs…

Not worth the money

It's been a year and a half since I bought this lens and it's such a disappointment that it just sits in a drawer. When the conditions (lighting) are perfect then the images are good but otherwise I found the autofocus to be slow and miss resulting in losing too many shots that I should have taken. It is not possible to focus on a moving subject. (I thought when it said "Sport" in the product name that was the main reason (I mainly shoot birds and the range is long but I find the image quality…

Fantastic lens for DSLR lenses

All the reviews here at Revain and around the web said this lens was a beast, over £6. This lens is just a beast. My scale showed just over 7 pounds (with hood and cap). Plays very well with my D500. Sharp and fast. Hand-held photography is a bit awkward. I mentioned it's a beast. Only about an hour with it and I've found 2 issues: It's heavy and can be tricky when shooting handheld in low light. I didn't have a monopod or tripod, so I had to rely on my hands. Stooping in anticipation of the…

Beauty and the Beast

I shot a college baseball with a Canon 70-200 2.8 lens on a Canon 5D Mark III body along with a 2x teleconverter and was perfectly happy with the speed and sharpness of my images, but I just didn't the range to cover the outfield well. After a long search I decided on the Sigma 150-300 5-6.3 Sport and today was test day. I have a USB dock but haven't done the focus calibration ritual yet because I wanted to see what I get out of the box. In general, I was happy with the sharpness of the image…

Great upgrade for my Canon 100-400 L (original version)

Replaces a CANon 100-400 IS USM (original version) with this lens. What attracted me to the Sigma was the focal length, the all-black body (I hate the white L-glass body), and the updated technology (better OS, for example). When I received this lens I noticed that the box was huge. I was hoping the lens wouldn't be as big as it looks in the box. I was wrong. This lens is huge. It's something so big that my big photo backpack might not fit in it. It will be difficult to take with me on easy…

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

completely satisfied with the purchase. this is my first telephoto lens. I photograph animals in the wild. The quality of the photos, for me personally, is completely satisfied. he also needs a good tripod, which is designed for at least 4 kg load! of course, to run with him through the bushes, after a hare or a bird, for a photo "from hand" it is heavy, not everyone can. But with a little practice and practice, you'll be fine :)

Pros
  • Good autofocus, moisture-dust protected body, moisture-dust-repellent lens coating. excellent focal length. good sharpness at full focal length. and of course the price compared to analogues
Cons
  • for most it will be difficult, but for me it is not very critical.
