I was blown away by the image when I connected my computer to a 32 inch 720p TV. Even at 720p, the picture is excellent. Even the upconversion from a regular DVD was impressive. I also have an HD DVD player and I think Blu-ray could be better. With a Geforce 8600GT 256MB I didn't experience any stuttering. It was pretty much plug and play. All you need is a very basic knowledge of how to open a computer tower and which cables go where, and you're in business. Install the software (which should come with it), it needs to be updated via internet. Every time you want to watch a Blu-ray, an internet connection is required to see if there are any updates for that movie. I haven't found a place to disable this feature.
