For wall mounting - Remove the legs, use them as horizontal cross pieces as they are long enough to span the wall studs. Screw the cross pieces horizontally and spaced vertically to allow the thread rack to be screwed to the cross pieces between the spool racks. Add four screws and ta-da! Worked very well, used all the material, added four screws. I didn't give them a five because they could improve the design for wall mounting. I do not like this rack at all and after owning it only a couple of weeks, have decided to replace it as soon as I can. Small thread spools don't fit thick pegs and mini king spools overlap at the base making use impossible without constantly rearranging. Only way for me to use it is to fill alternating pegs. Waste of my money compared to other thread racks I have. See photo for a visual.

I like the rack. Only problem is when it is full id doesn't stand alone very well. Still a nice way to organize my threads where i can see each one.Would I purchase it again.I think so.

I ordered this for the 120 spools of Rayon Embroidery Thread also sold by Revain. The spool holders are just a little too close so if you want to pull a certain color, the base of the spool may be underneath the spool next to it. Takes a little jiggling to keep other spools from falling off when you select one. Also, it doesn't seem to be strong enough to hold the 120 spools. The row of spools where the top of the back brace attaches is tilted because of the stress on the rack. I'm going to get

I bought this as a gift for christmas but the item arrived with a few flaws. There was a spilt in one of the wood uprights and one row of spool holders was loose. I was contacted by Threadart about a replacement rack and they promptly shipped me another one. Thanks to April for taking care of the problem so quickly. The new rack was in perfect condition when it arrived.

I braid my own hair and this rack has really made it sooooo much easier for me to separate hair and cuts my time down by a lot. If your a stylist and/or do your hair yourself you need this rack!

This takes up too much space sitting on the table. I decided to hang it on my wall instead. It doesn't come with hardware for hanging on the wall so I kind of had to rig it and I never was able to get it to hang straight. If this came with hardware for hanging it already attached it would probably be the perfect little thread holder. It is well made and I haven't had any problems with loose dowels or anything else.

I bought this to hang jewelry on. It says in can be wall mounted, which is technically true, but it does NOT come with any hardware to mount it. I bought a picture hanging kit and attached hangers to the back. Otherwise, it works great for organizing my necklaces.

It is a great spool holder for small to medium thread spools. It is not too bulky and can be painted the color of your choice and hung on the wall or it can stand alone on the floor. I would recommend it to others.

I hung these on the wall to hold all my embroidery thread. says they can be hung on the wall but no wall mounts were given. the wood split on it when screwed to the wall. pegs are not glued in so they can fall out. overall serves the purpose.

I love it! Definitely a good deal for the price. My only comment is that it doesn’t come with a way to hang it on the wall. that’s easily fixed if you tie some string to the top (as I did). If you wanted it on a desk as it comes, the stand is sturdy! Great buy.

Can't give this a full 5 stars. It is sturdy, and certainly holds my threads as was intended. But I was looking for something to organize my bobbins wth their corresponding spools, and the pegs are just a little too big for the bobbins to fit. I'm satisfied, but I still need to find something for my bobbins.

This rack has proven to be relatively sturdy and can hold 120 SMALL spools of thread like advertised. However, if you purchase the large spools from Isacord or Poly X for example, they do NOT stay on this rack effectively without many of them falling off when you get a particular color. The rack was sturdy and made well. My only disappointment was due to a statement in the description which indicated that this could be wall mounted. When I received it I realized there was no such accommodation in design to do this. Since the wall mount feature was important to the person receiving this as a gift, I had to have it modified on my own.

I am disappointed with this product because the pegs are too large for my spools of thread. Neither my Mettler nor my Superior Magnifico spools will fit. Way too tight.

I think the construction of the thread holder is good. I was disappointed that there were no holes on the back to hang on the wall. I would definitely recommend this item but tell buyers they have to drill holes to hang by.

Item is exactly what we were looking for. We hung the unit on the wall = works great. Problem is we need another and this item has been unavailable. We keep checking on the status weekly.
