They contain the wrong key!

Includes 1/4 hex key but 6mm hex bit. It has 1/4-20 threads, but you can't install them in wood unless you have your own allen wrench.

Pros
  • Sleek and modern design
Cons
  • Protection

Excellent fasteners for wood products.

I ordered these for an epoxy flow table I'm building. They held well in the wood panel but pulled right out of the epoxy. Epoxy dries over a week. It was hard enough.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Not Quite 1/4 " - Fasteners

While the included allen wrench works great for them, it's just under 1/4" long. I prefer to use a straight hex wrench in the screwdriver so the bit goes in straighter and my straight 1/4" doesn't fit in the bits.

Pros
  • Several Competitors
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Good quality and great price for my project!

Good quality and great price for my project! I make toys for my grandson and I was impressed by these assignments. I have never used them. They were reasonably priced compared to other sources and were delivered to my door at that price!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Small Parts

Excellent quality fastener

Inserts like this must be well made from strong materials. The ones I bought at my local hardware store were so soft they ripped as soon as I started pulling them into the hole. THESE however have a heavy metal flange on top which makes them extremely durable. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing here

I purchased this kit of 40 threaded inserts, 1/4"-20 with 1/4" hex wrench. The inserts are nice and work great when screwed into a 3/8" hole. The hex in the sockets used to insert these sockets is also 1/4 inch. However, the included wrench is 3/16 inch (or possibly a similar size). This 3/16 wrench spins freely in use. Luckily I have a 1/4" hex wrench so that's not a problem for me, but anyone who uses them with the tool provided will be disappointed.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Defects present

Excellent price and quality

Used them for my desktop. I have a premium standalone frame and an IKEA TOMMARID worktop. I didn't want to screw directly onto the chipboard table top as it wouldn't take long if I moved the table. I ended up buying these. I just finished a project and it worked great. You no longer have to worry about detaching the table top from the frame several times. HD sells similar screws for a dollar each, which is crazy. The hex wrench worked very well to get the screws into the wood. Can't comment on…

Definitely stronger than the cheap ones you're looking for

So far so good. After trying the less expensive pre-fab zinc since I had a ton that I used for easy holding methods on my CNC, they broke when I tightened the bolts on the plate. I decided to give it a try. and they hold much better in wood and I went with the 20mm length for more holding power and more threads to hold the screw. None of them cracked like the ones I used before. I added epoxy to the threads before inserting to make sure it didn't move. I screwed the channel into the grooves cut

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors
