Convert live recordings!

My Opinion: Turntables seem like ancient technology these days, and in many ways they are. However, this comes in handy for those who have home projects, live recording, or something really special. You can convert it to MP3 to keep it digital forever. In addition, you can play vinyl records of different sizes perfectly. No external speakers required. Conclusion: An economical all-in-one player that can turn your old recordings into digital masterpieces.

Finally the perfect choice for me!

For the first time in years we have a turntable with speakers. Thank you that we have many, many records from the 50s, 60s, +70s. I bought it (Lauson with speakers) because I wanted to transfer music from our LP albums to CDs. I still don't know if I can pull off this feat as this process hasn't worked for me for three or four years. Using USB and computer is very difficult. BUT. For the first time in many years, I was able to hear the music my wife and I have come to love. The first LP I tried

You get what you pay for

I bought this product to convert my old albums that were never released on CD or digital to mp3 for cheap, but after using it I have a bunch of records that keep skipping. I ended up buying a new turntable for about 6x the price of this one and now all of these turntables play just fine. For pristine records this player works fine, but if you're copying old, used albums that you bought used that may not have been properly cared for, I would suggest going with a more expensive player. Also, I…

Amazing, especially for the price!

This is a great little standalone player! I've just received a whole box of my old records that I found while moving house. I haven't had a turntable for many years. I just wanted to donate them, but I just couldn't look through them. So I looked at what is currently available in players and this one was well priced and cheap! I got it yesterday and spent an hour listening to old vinyl records. The built-in speakers are pretty damn good, with plenty of volume. Today I decided to connect it to…

  • Updates Available

Shortly after Revain's three-month return window expired, the player started sounding terrible. The tuning knob did not affect the timbre (bass, treble) in any way. The handle itself seemed to have an issue as it used to work fine. Unable to return it to Revain, I contacted Revain's US Retailers. They replied: Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry that the player I bought is not working properly. To manage returns, the quickest and easiest way is to contact Revain through the platform and…

Great things

Great stuff. The speakers aren't all that good (they get through, but in a large room the sound will be drowned out by, say, a microwave, TV, entertainment, or pretty much any other electronic device). A couple of decent little speakers in aux or RCA jacks will fix this. I've noticed the issue others have mentioned of the auto stop function stopping before the end of the recording, but that only happens with singles and only for the last 8 or so seconds. For full-length recordings, this is not…

Decent player!

I personally love music but I'm not as musically gifted as my older brother, he can play any instrument that comes his way! I bought this for him. He has a huge record collection, he says he stopped counting at 300. He had a very old record player (record player) that made a squeaking noise along with the music! It definitely didn't have the features that this player has. This player can play any size vinyl, which my brother was very happy about because he has other vinyl sizes that his old…

OK for $40 but looks cheap, limited sound quality

What to expect from $40. The records are playing and the sound from the external speakers is fine. I bought it to play old records from the 1970's and it plays my old worn out records well. The audio is stereo and the headphones bypass the external speakers, showing that the sound quality is quite good. Some limitations are that the knobs, body and tonearm are made of poor quality plastic. Don't buy the player for the software: the software is free, Audacity. I've used Audacity off and on for…

You get more than what you pay for, albeit not perfect

I am giving this review five stars mainly because it is a cheap product. At this price I'm very happy with it, although I'm sure there are better products out there at higher prices. The turntable is small, with 12" platters protruding from the edges (although I knew that when I bought it, so can't really complain). The included speakers are great for what they are, but you'd be better off getting external speakers for serious listening (or use headphones, of course). The main reason you might…
