The best player on Revain, without exception.

I didn't like anything. At first it was strange, such an elementary simplicity. But when I found out about it and mentally studied its amazing physics, I realized it can be as good as a turntable unless you want to spend 10,000+ just for a tonearm etc. I love my orbit!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Strap keeps falling off

Nice turntable. I wanted to support small businesses. The weakest point destroys its beauty, the belt. Keeps falling off. I am very upset about this. I will be ordering a new belt which might help as I have had this product for a little over a year and it is out of warranty. That's very disappointing.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Simply perfection! good for turntables

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 17 year old son as he is in love with Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ray Charles and Louis Armstrong. I received the walnut and it is a fine invention. Beautifully made, plays well and is made in the USA. I had a question about choosing the right speakers, emailed U-TURN and received an immediate response from the company's co-founder! impressive.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Belt stretched in less than a year

I wasn't a big fan at first for a number of reasons. 1. Switching between speeds is stupid. 2. Does not turn off when the end of recording is reached. (I tend to switch off, and things will twist and turn.) I've researched these issues. But now, having owned the player for less than a year, the belt only works on the large chainring. It just falls off when I switch to a smaller one. For that much money, there shouldn't be such a fundamental problem.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Safety

Nice upgrade with disappointing strap

This is my third turntable. My previous models were the AT LP60 and AT LP120 and I wanted to upgrade to a nice and great sounding turntable. For these reasons I chose U-Turn Orbit. The turntable sounds fantastic with the Ortofon Red cartridge and is surprisingly well built. My only complaint (that others have) is the strap. I get a minimalist design, but I don't feel comfortable switching between 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. I had to request a new belt from U-Turn because it stretched too much if left on

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Quality

Very disappointed with the belt

I like almost everything about this player, but the strap is such a problem that I don't recommend it. I'm sad to do this but plan on replacing this with another brand. The strap is incredibly loose. Barely fires at 33rpm. I have a couple of longplay albums at 45rpm and when I switch to 45rpm there is no way to re-tighten the belt. It just falls off. I kept 2-3 straps in the freezer for this (which I think reduces them) so I have a working strap to swap out if I want to listen to a 45rpm album.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Reliability

game changer! Amazing sound and pure quality!

If you are looking for the perfect hi-fi player; look no further! The sound is as beautiful as it looks. This is cutting-edge technology. It's ready to go with everything you need. It's only a $1,000 turntable, but U-Turn's creative hand assembly process resulted in cost savings that were passed on to us. A solid piece of wood on an acrylic sheet; this is not only a great type of pool, but also a wonderful slip mat. A sliding mat is not required. Latest quality acrylic anti slip mats and this…

Definitely value for money

Change/Update #2 I contacted u-turn who sent me a new belt under warranty quickly and free of charge. no problems at all after a few weeks. A great turntable that focuses on sound, not bells and whistles. back to 5 star rating for both player and distribution support.edit/update #1: After two full nights with the player. this thing dived into me. the belt gave way and I sat in silence. I miss evenings with a turntable. this player gave me no longevity. Go back to mp3 and bring back this player.

Pros
  • Turntable and Accessories
Cons
  • Damaged

Fantastic!: Home Audio

I did a lot of research before deciding on the U-Turn and I am happy with my choice. It's obviously a nice and simple design, but most importantly it'll sound fantastic (assuming you've got decent speakers). When used on new vinyl, it sounds as good as a CD. The only hiss/crackle I've ever heard is from used records. For those who think you can tell a CD from a vinyl record, stop it, you can't, it's scientifically proven that after 4 years, human hearing isn't that good. or 5, so just stop. In…
