Other reviews are correct: Fantastic sound

I listened to other reviews and replaced my OM 5e stylus with an OM 20. This is only the second turntable I have owned, the first being the Crosley. It knocks it out of the water. The sound is deep and nuanced, in contrast to the flat Crosley sound. I also bought a $40 tonearm which I feel adds a bit of luxury to the turntable and makes raising and lowering the stylus much easier and smoother. The quality and looks of the player is just fantastic. We are very happy with this purchase and it…

More expensive - quality cheaper

cartridge is good. It roughly ends here. The finish isn't very good - for a $380 turntable. The belt keeps its "shape" going from 45/33 and is difficult to put back on once stretched. Bad design there. There is no light showing where to insert the needle into the groove. And no "Pause" function when changing disks. and when you need to turn it on/off, you will get loud/loud feedback from the switch. There is also a noticeable hum at higher volumes. I didn't expect that from a belt-driven table.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • No machine

Great turntable. No frills, but great sound!

They are positioned as excellent entry-level turntables. Much better than others in the same price range. And this is the truth! It's pricey for a kid who wants a cheap turntable from urban outfitters, but a steal for an audiophile who wants a high-quality, no-frills turntable at a great price. In terms of sound, this is a very good player. They've had to cut corners somewhere to keep costs down, but they're in small areas like the dust bag clips, no speed control button, no built-in cue lever.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great slim turntable for advanced listeners

We ordered this turntable because I wanted to upgrade my Audio-Technica. Just wanted something prettier with more cartridge options. I still have to get used to it, but it looks great on my record shelf. My AT had an auto return and I would stop the recording when it was over, which is what I would want Orbit to be (I'd be happy even if the tape just stopped spinning) because if I leave the room or what anyway - something like that, I don't want my cartridge to be resting on the spinning…

Falling in Love with Vinyl Again

I've wanted to hear vinyl again and was researching where to start. My considerations as a beginner is a good quality turntable that won't be too hard on the wallet and my budget was under $400. I'm not an audiophile but I chose U-Turn Audio after watching YouTube videos and reading what others have to say about this product. I was pretty sure I was willing to sacrifice fancy features for a simple portable turntable that sounds great and has a quality stylus, platter and arm with a plastic-free

There is no better way to listen to music

As a newcomer to the world of vinyl records and turntables, I studied several models before ending up in reverse orbit. Not only did I want something that would be inviting to sit in my living room when not in use, I was looking for a device that would produce quality sound and last for years - oh, and without spending a fortune! U-Turn offers all of these aspects. My item arrived quickly in the original packaging which was secure and prevented damage in transit. Setup was easy and matched my…

Good sound. Easy setup. happy customer

A big music lover is about to buy his first turntable. I really just wanted something that sounds good (and can play loud enough to jam) until I decide if I want to do it as a hobby. I did a lot of research before making this purchase (because to be honest I don't know much about it - I grew up with cassettes and CDs). I found I was looking for a simple table top with a built in preamp for direct speaker connection (with the option to add an external amplifier to my system in the future). I…

Great entry-level desk

Overall, this is a great entry-level desk with a few minor issues that are easy to fix. Setting up Orbit is not a difficult task at all. It's very good if you get this version with a built-in phono stage. The base is durable and has a solid weight. The legs absorb vibrations well. The engine has a shock absorber and has no noticeable rumble. The acrylic disc is much heavier than the Pro-Ject and spins great. The tonearm is nothing fancy, but I find it perfectly competent given the price, and…
