NOT SO TOUGH . . . for my opinion

My 65# Goldendoodle tore off the head and one leg in 2 minutes. It's a very large toy so not good for throwing either. Not sure what a dog is supposed to do with it honestly . . .

Pros
  • Helps burn off excess calories and maintain a healthy weight
Cons
  • May be too bulky for some dogs to carry in their mouths

Same old same old - my new review

About what I expected. It took our 8 month old Shepard 2 days to get all the stuffing out. We figured as much since he made quick work of his other toys but though maybe this would be different, nope same old same old.

Pros
  • Encourages independence and self-play in dogs
Cons
  • May not be as safe for daily use

Destroyed in minutes.

Does not stand up to reputation of Tuffy. This toy was destroyed in minutes by my 6 month old puppy. Not worth the $$. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Can be played with alone or with a human companion
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all stages of a dog's life

Not worth the $$$$$

15 minutes and my 7 month old lab had one wing opened and almost half the stuffing pulled out. What was this rated? May not be able to hold up during aggressive play.

Pros
  • Helps promote healthy teeth and gums
Cons
  • May not be able to hold up during aggressive play

The Boys -- a tough chewing Golden Retriever and a Great Pyrenees -- open up and empty them out pretty quickly. Then they use them as tug toys forever. Yea, killer dogs! We always have two or three dead Toucans lying around the house.

Pros
  • Designed to be comfortable for dogs to hold and play with
Cons
  • May become dirty and stained easily

dog loves it - my new review

My dog loves this toy. It's big and tough to rip up so it's perfect for her. My dog's only about 35 pounds and isn't what I would consider an "aggressive chewer," but she does LOVE to rip the stuffing out of everything. With this one, I've had it for quite a while and she still hasn't succeeded in ripping out any stuffing.

Pros
  • Perfect for interactive play, including tug, toss, and fetch
Cons
  • Not indestructible and may be damaged over time

Love this guy for my opinion

Love this guy! My dog has taken a more maternal approach with this one for some reason. She drags it around with her and hasn't ripped the stuffing out .yet.

Pros
  • Allows for safe and challenging play
Cons
  • May be laborious to clean thoroughly

Woohoo! Made it 10 months!

I purchased this 10 months ago for my two and a half year old German Shepherd. He loved it until it was time to buy a new one. We have played tug-of-war with it and bury it under the bed and fetch with it. This toy is great and we are already enjoying the new one. I will try to post the pic of the one he has had for 10 months.

Pros
  • Suitable for dogs of all life stages
Cons
  • May not be as safe as other dog toys on the market

TOUGH TUCAN gets my THUMBS UP!

My dog is the type to tear up "sturdy" and "indestructible" toys in a matter of minutes. THIS TUCAN HAS LASTED OVER A MONTH NOW! I love this thing and so does my pup. Thanks for the great product & timely shipping :)

Pros
  • Squeak Toys
Cons
  • May cause choking hazard

Dogs Loved It . lasted about 15 min

First, let me say, my dogs absolutely loved this thing. But I deducted 2 stars because they tore it up in about 15 minutes. It looks just like the picture, very bright and has an interesting shape. The Tuffy brand implies that the toy is durable with reinforced edges, etc. well, my 2 Boston Terriers ( 30 & 25 lbs) tore a hole in it in about 5 minutes, took the squeaker and all the stuffing out and proceeded to tear it apart in about 15 minutes. I'm not kidding. I joked and said I should have…

Pros
  • Provides a great way to interact with shy or nervous dogs
Cons
  • May lose its shape after being played with
