Review on Acer SB230 Bbix Ultra Thin Technology 1920X1080P, 75Hz, Wide Screen, HD by Daniel Acquah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very happy with my purchase.

Very happy with this purchase. I love it so far. Seats were booked less than two days ago, and when I left for work today, I was already sitting on the porch. Unpacking and installing took about 5 minutes, maybe less. Connected, started and I'm in business. I have no complaints. The monitor is VERY light and significantly thinner than most other monitors on the market in this price range. If I had to be picky, I would say something about the HDMI cable. It would be cool if he was dating one, but it doesn't matter. If we were to get really picky, I would talk about the tilt/swivel adjustment feature that some other monitors have. This monitor is REALLY tiltable and it's fairly easy to move the entire unit to face east/west if you need to make adjustments. The north/south slope has become wider than I expected, I'm glad about that. The brightness is excellent. The picture quality is excellent and VERY clear. I used HDMI to connect to my laptop and the response time from one monitor to another is impressive. Overall I am very happy with this monitor. I don't think I could have made a better purchase. Looking back, I should have gotten a bigger monitor (I chose 23 inches). Honestly I can buy a second monitor for a dual screen setup. In my eyes the product is 10/10 - ESPECIALLY considering the price. nothing can really go wrong. If you're looking for a lightweight monitor with great picture quality that's significantly cheaper than most other monitors, this is your best option.

Pros
  • They work well apart from dead pixels after a year. Make sure you know they don't support VESA.
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other picks.
