No different style gives me such speed of navigating, surfing and cross combos like this thing with a scroll ring. Looks like an alien but performs like a dream and reduces arm/wrist strain compared to any other mouse I've tried over the years. No mouse can be that fast, because firstly you don't chase it across the table and secondly the scroll ring enables "multitasking" operations. The scroll ring allows you to scroll through pages "from anywhere" without having to hover over the application's scrollbar controls, and this capability, combined with keyboard shortcuts for in-app options/controls like zoom or tool selector, became significant speed up design work and research, or work with data in spreadsheets. For me there is nothing faster than this! I use my ring finger when walking, index and middle fingers on a trackball. No injuries or stress from repetitive movements after years of using this style! Depending on the work environment, whether I'm working remotely, locally, or working from a lap rest, I sometimes use the included palm rest and press on the back of the mouse to extend the arm/palm rest. Improve this design by adding a gel surface covered with a thin fabric as it is very hard and my wrist hurts if I use it for too long. thrown away because I can't use it very long without pressure point pain because it's hard. As of this writing I have purchased my fourth of this mouse to replace the second one I purchased and it is identical to the first. this time the button came out the same as the first time, but the grip bars on the bottom have been detached and are needed when working on different surfaces or when traveling to keep the mouse steady. TIP: A trackball works better/faster if it's not perfectly clean. I periodically take the ball out and wipe the mouse and ball with an antibacterial cloth, but after that the ball moves slower as all the oils are removed from the surface. So I learned to rub it in my hands for about a minute to soak up some oil before putting it back in, which is all it takes to reduce friction and get moving lightning fast!
