Excellent car - my new review

I bought these to spoil myself, they are very comfortable and I love the colors. I need a large toe box (bursitis) and it fits without looking weird or out of proportion. Good traction (not as good as Lone Peaks but then again they aren't as clean campers). If you want a pair of casual shoes in your bag with jeans, shorts, or for hiking or jogging, this is for you.

    Pros
    • Can be easily prepared and cleaned
    Cons
    • May take some time to crack

love her my pros and cons

I've just gotten back into running after a few years and these are the best running shoes I've ever owned. The shoes are so light I didn't realize there was anything in the box when it arrived. I like the wide foot and the rock guards helped on the trails.

    Pros
    • Suitable for most outdoor activities and adventures
    Cons
    • Might not last a few seasons

Happy my opinion in my review

Fits great and looks good but has little feedback when running. I'm not sure if it's just my running style or what. Other Altras I use don't give the same feedback. Ideal for lawn mowing.

    Pros
    • This shoe is good for trekking and trail running. The shoes cushioned the pressure and caused less fatigue after walking and jogging.
    Cons
    • The shape of the shoe may not be compatible with a specific foot type.

    Comfortable! true size! name laces!

Really comfortable! The size was right. The laces are the perfect length. Camber low to medium. The grip is good on all surfaces. Even with thin feet, the heel stays in place. I wouldn't wear them in cold weather (ie below 30F) due to the thin mesh upper.

    Pros
    • Extremely comfortable
    Cons
    • Not as durable as similar products on the market

    As convenient as possible

I almost ruined my legs with the arch brace. They weakened and developed plantar fasciitis. After several months of arch free recovery, I started looking for better shoes. I had friends with Altras so I wanted to try them. This is my first pair and I am very satisfied. The socks are just right for my wide feet. I like zero drop. There is enough padding for normal everyday use. The lack of arch support makes my legs more comfortable and stronger. I hope the durability is as good as they say. As…

    Pros
    • Effectively minimizes slips and falls
    Cons
    • Lack of cushioning in the heel area.

Comfortable shoes with no difference in height.

Husband wanted a solid zero fall shoe. The local open shop was very expensive. They were better than they were and cheaper. husband likes her.

    Pros
    • Ideal for use in rough terrain and on rocky paths
    Cons
    • May cause leg pain

Take her! my pros and cons

I really love Superior 4! They are very comfortable and you have full freedom of movement. I absolutely have flat feet and I don't feel unwell.

    Pros
    • ideal for trail running and hiking. also works well for road running. very satisfied!
    Cons
    • not the best replacement for Lone Peaks. Pillow is missing.

A Little Too Short is the best in my review

Fits in every way except it's a bit short. A size 14 usually fits well but my toes hurt a bit in this shoe especially when going downhill. 14.5 would probably be ideal.

    Pros
    • I like everything about this shoe except for the outsole which doesn't seem reliable enough. I like the fit and the toe box.
    Cons
    • Not recommended for those with previous foot injuries

    Arch support could be better

I love the Altras and bought this pair for my 15 year old who wears a size 14. They are better than some of his old shoes, toe box is good but arch support is terrible. Now I have to buy insoles.

    Pros
    • Great shoe fits very well and I get a lot of compliments on the style of the shoe.
    Cons
    • May not be strong enough for heavy trail use.

    Amazing shoes: my review

Altra makes great shoes! I'm a surgical technician and I wear them in the operating room and I feel like I wear slippers to work. Lightweight, well profiled, breathable, durable shoe in every way. I also wore Altras on my hike on the Appalachian Trail and loved them as did many other hikers. I highly recommend this brand of shoes and this model in particular. !

    Pros
    • The perfect shoe for trail running!
    Cons
    • The tread pattern may not be suitable for certain track conditions.

Version 3.5 feels more natural than version 4.0

I've had it for a while. Wear occasionally. They are not as "natural" as 3.5. I would like to find another pair of size 13 in the 3.5 version.

    Pros
    • Can be combined with any style of clothing
    Cons
    • Not recommended for technical terrain

The seller sent me a used pair of shoes.

OutdoorEquipped sold me a used pair of shoes. They were OBVIOUSLY used - worn socks, dirty soles, arrived in a plain brown box with no retail tags. The shoe itself looked promising - a very light box with a very wide toe box.

    Pros
    • I think these are the best running shoes I've ever had. Very versatile shoe!
    Cons
    • Materials can wear out quickly with long-term use

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Super comfortable and looks great

I originally bought these for work but decided to make them my everyday shoes. They are so comfortable and the color looks amazing!

    Pros
    • Great shoes, very comfortable
    Cons
    • They're very comfortable, but they don't have a grippy tread and you'll slip and slide.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great shoe for Zero Fall lovers

Shoes are conveniently out of the box. The burrito wrap secures the leg. Just the right amount of pillows. Deducted 1 star for StoneGuard, which is not included with the shoes.

    Pros
    • great for trails, they're a little light for dealing with big rocks.
    Cons
    • The sole can cause instability on uneven ground

So good that I bought a second pair

They look very stylish and are so comfortable that I bought another pair in a different color. Switching to flats and sandals has really helped my knees and back. I have tried several pairs and three different models only from the Altra brand but for me this is the best balance of a small pillow but still stable.

    Pros
    • Offers excellent stability, grip and comfort
    Cons
    • Can be noisy due to individual construction

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

Worn twice and they are already torn.

These shoes are coming apart at the seams and I haven't even broken them in yet. Unfortunately I'm not a regular runner so in the time I've worn them twice I missed the Revain return window. I used to love Altra. My Lone Peaks 4.0 was the best trail shoe I've ever owned, but since the Lone Peaks update got such bad reviews, I chose this shoe. These Superior 4.0 are ridiculous and the worst trail running shoes I have ever owned. I've never had such a poorly made shoe. It's like they were made by

    Pros
    • Light enough for easy and fast running
    Cons
    • Tends to slip on slippery surfaces

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Great shoes with little cushioning

These shoes have a good mix of performance for most trail running conditions. Minimal cushioning provides good trail feel but with enough protection for rocky terrain. It also encourages barefoot walking. The footwell has a unique tongue design that seems to work well, although the laces are unusually long. This is a light and responsive shoe for conscientious runners. If you're transitioning to zero-drop shoes and low-cushioning shoes, this is a good mix of the two.

    Pros
    • I'll probably wear them until I die. These are the best shoes for most tasks.
    Cons
    • No toe reinforcement

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best shoes I've ever had, period.

I have very wide toes and I have trouble finding shoes that fit me. Even double width Asics were too narrow for the length I needed. But they are perfect and fit my midfoot and heel. Just the right amount of padding for the underfoot feel, and there's an additional removable rock guard if you feel you want a little more foot protection. Just great

    Pros
    • Great shoes for trail running.
    Cons
    • Might not fit

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best pair I have ever had, the best in my rating

This is the best pair of alts I have ever owned, my fifth pair. It might be too early to talk about the shoe's construction, so we'll see. But after my second run in these shoes, I immediately ordered a second pair.

    Pros
    • Perhaps the perfect pair of shoes for hiking and running enthusiasts.
    Cons
    • May cause shoe odor
