I'm reviewing this great little unit, I've been playing around with some small amplifier boards I've seen on the lamp, don't waste your time or money, this unit is so compact you can put it up however you need it. It's good and yes it gets hot. I have it on a piece of aluminum because I use it for hours. Best of all I have a subwoofer that I hooked up to it and a Fosi SB amp and it doesn't give out my sync mono from the $600 Yamaha

I have bought several of these mini amps. THIS IS THE BEST. I use it on my patio where I have a pair of Klipsch outdoor speakers and an old 8" passive subwoofer in a box in the corner. The separate volume control for the subwoofer is excellent. The whole combination is clear and rich, excellent. Sound stage, no mess. Bluetooth is error free. PLUS THAT IT COMES WITH A POWER ADAPTER MAKES IT A GREAT VALUE. Combine this with some decent quality speakers and you won't be disappointed.

I am using this mini amp with a 24v 5 amp power supply. 20 watts for the sub and 10 for the speakers. In no case does the sub-channel reproduce audible bass up to 30 Hz, as claimed by the manufacturer. The left and right channels are only reduced to 100-120 Hz. I bought this amp specifically for Bluetooth connectivity to pair with Echo Point or a cell phone. Bluetooth range is adequate and easy to connect, but audio lag is extremely noticeable, making it impossible to use with movies or with other speakers (multiple setup rooms) or as a remote surround application. So this little amp is good to an extent when cranked up, the distortion is unbearable but if you're looking for something to listen to at reasonable levels then fine, I have connected him to two ceiling speakers in the boxes. which is mounted outside (8 ohms) together with a boxed subwoofer (4 ohms) and sounds good at volume 8.
