The AMT tweeter is nice and fast but still softer/silky than the dome in my last center channel. disappears after installation. I wasn't expecting this when I bought it, but I love that I can also use it as a small shelf. overall satisfied with my purchase

I just finished my home system. Point. If you add good clean energy to these things, you will be amazed. I hooked up a Pyle 400W amp to it and it's perfect. (Don't skimp on electricity or cables). Very impressive! I'm Dayton Fan out from here.

I bought a new 7.2 channel surround receiver and my old speakers weren't compatible. I replaced them with this speaker array, using two 4-1/2" 2-way C452 AIR center channel speakers for the center channel and six 4-1/2" 2-way B452 bookshelf speakers for surround sound . These little speakers from Dayton Audio are amazing! I'm seriously considering switching my subsystem to one of their powered subwoofers. For the money you can't go wrong with Dayton Audio!

I have other Dayton Audio speakers. I think they were even better, but this speaker performs very well for the price. Of course, there are more expensive speakers that don't sound as good. When it was on the table the voices were tinny, now it's hanging on the wall and I don't notice it. This center speaker offers excellent value for money and can withstand a lot of knocks. I modified mine a bit as it had a resonance that didn't sound. This center speaker with its excellent value for money has passed many tests. Fix it though and it sounds smooth as silk now, just buy a polyfill at walmart or something, cut out four rectangles about eight inches, buy four, take out the speakers and put two on each side, so they kind of wrap around the woofer when it comes back. c, job done. There was some padding, but to my ears it sounds a lot nicer now and goes better with the Dual 652 Air I use for the fronts.

Very happy with my C452-AIR. As with ALL speakers, you MUST give them some time to break in. You'll be glad you did. The C452-AIR features the popular 1" AMT tweeter that Dayton Audio introduced some time ago in their B652-AIR bookshelf speakers (check them out here on Revain if you get a chance to read the rave reviews for to see this tweeter). I bought this as an experiment because I wanted to see if these AMT tweeters were as good as dome tweeters. My point of comparison was the $400 Polk speaker set. I placed this on the center channel and compared it to the Polk center channel it replaced. Empirically, the tone is more sensitive in volts per sound level, so I had to lower the signal level to the center speaker.
