Dangerous don't buy that crap

Bought to dose my 90 gallon reef with sump, hydrohead and incredible filtration. I followed the instructions and my water got cloudy and the fish started acting strange. Lost five fish, very angry and upset. This so-called Dr. Tim has to be honest with the ingredients and online forums reflect what I've experienced.

Skeptical about this product - think I've been scammed

After scouring the internet, Dr. Once I found Tim and watched his video I was convinced this would be a great way to use my aquarium. Immediately after pouring into "ONE ONLY" my water did not become cloudy at all (the contents flowed out almost transparent)! according to dr Tim's video and other videos, her water was cloudy. The bottle was kept in a cool place until use and shaken for about 20 seconds before use. Now I'm skeptical about the product I bought and not sure if I accidentally…

Follow the instructions!

I have used this product several times and always found that it helps against algae. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Several other reviews mention wiping out their entire fish population - this is usually due to an overdose of bacteria and is the main reason the bottle recommends you use a 50% dose to start. The bacteria in the product use the oxygen in your water to process nitrates and phosphates. Excessive use of this product can cause a LARGE, TEMPORARY drop in oxygen levels in the…

Do not use blind metering for aquarium water treatment

Helps clear sludge and helps your skimmer flush excess nutrients and sediment from the system. other sensitive corals, if careless, even at half strength. * Can and will help cyano outperform. Disturb or harm livestock. If you make it weak enough that there is no risk of irritating or harming nutrient-sensitive animals or bacteria-rearing animals, then it won't be strong enough to really do anything. Do not dose blindly. Be mindful of stress when dosing and stop if your corals react negatively.

A trick that doesn't really work

I've been doing this hobby for quite some time. I had to run a 10 tank hospital. I typically cycle through a new tank by taking the existing filter media from the installed tank and seeding the new tank. This is a tried and true method that works every time (I've run tanks in just a few days). Well I didn't want to mess with my canisters so I decided to give it a try. Well it doesn't work. GENERAL. Don't waste your money and there is no viable bacteria-in-the-bottle solution. This product…

Kill Algae! - Fish and Aquatic Animals

One and a half years battle with algae solved. 120 gallon system with biopellet reactor. After manual removal of all existing algae, the specified amount was administered every other day for about 3 weeks, after 4 weeks all algae disappeared. 1/2 metered directly into the biopellet reactor inlet, and the other 1/2 by volume into the Love Rock sump with the skimmer off for 3-8 hours depending on my schedule at home. Tip: If you are over 16 oz. One bottle for the duration of treatment, it was a…

Apparently he did what he said.

A 120g aquarium looped with Caribbean Hawaiian sand, small balls (ceramic) and dry faux liver. Used the same brand of ammonia to get it to about 4ppm. On the second day I had a strong nitrite spike and ammonia was right next to it. More ammonia was added on day 3 to reach 2 ppm. On day 3, Microbacter7 was also added. The nitrite spike lasted about 5 days on the charts before dropping to 0. Refugium was up and running when the nitrites became readable (API test). I have about 10 days and I have…

Effective against "red slime " (cyanobacteria) in reef aquariums

I almost overlooked this product because the name led me to believe it was for fish that wasting away. Not so! It is designed to remove cyanobacteria ("red slime") from reef saltwater tanks. Products that claim to get rid of "red spots" stop working after a few months. I think it's bacterial resistance. So I considered other types of products. This product isn't the only "our bacteria kills red goo" product I've tried, so I was a bit skeptical. But after using it for a few months (and removing…
