Temporary fix - crumbling in just 2 years

Works but only temporarily. I bought it and applied about 2 years ago. Now it crumbles and the seal falls off. I would have expected a slightly longer lifespan.

Pros
  • Bonds fiberglass oven gaskets to metal
Cons
  • Very expensive

Gets the job done

We heat our whole house with a 40 year old, durable dual fan fireplace insert that still works great. The only thing that needs attention every year or two is the fiberglass firebox door seal. Pros
  • Extremely easy to use
Cons
  • A few little things

Excellent quality product. Works as intended

I have an old wood stove with a 1.5" gap so I had to install two 3/4" ropes side by side. The glue is thin, black, sticky and gets messy. If you put on clothes, they will be stained forever. Make a diagonal cut in the sealing tube near the tip. The glue is quite thin (-1 star) and can get a little dirty. I…

Pros
  • EZ Gasket cemented
Cons
  • So far so good
