I ordered this for hunting season in PA. it gets pretty chilly, I ordered the blaze orange and it is warm. I don't use the ear flaps it's just warm. I really like the style also, my dad had one like this for years. I plan on ordering the red and black one also so I can wear it other than hunting. make sure you know your head size. I am a traditionalist and absolutely love this cap. It is very warm and gives extra protection to ears and the nape of your neck when necessary. I read a review that said to order a little bit larger than your normal size that is good advice. I ordered one size larger than my normal hat size and it fits great. I highly recommend this cap for cold windy weather.

I've worn these hats for many years and have never been disappointed. The size is a bit different but consistent, I wear a 7 1/8 in a Stetson, and a little bit loose 7 1/2 in a Stormy Kromer . They shrink a little when you wash them but stretch back out after you ware them a while. A good winter hat that lasts for years.

I bought these for my son and husband for use on a trip to Ontonagon Michigan! They love them so much! My niece and her husband also bought stormy Kromer‘s at a souvenir shop in Copper Harbor Michigan! Made for some great family photos, these hats will last for years and look even better with use!

Overall a well made hat. The dark blue patterned wool looks great in person. Only the tops of my ears are covered so Mr Spock might be very pleased, but for me, I thought it fell short. If ear coverage is important for very cold weather, look at another model. Will keep it though as I am impressed with the look and quality.

I’ve obviously been buying all my hats too small; this one just sits on my head and doesn’t give me a headache. It’s adorable. I bought it because I liked the way it looked, but I’m really excited to wear it when I work; I’ve discovered how the band pulls down to cover your ears and it’s going to make all the difference :)

I had only worn this 5 or 6 times and realized the bill is cracked under the fabric. If I had realized this sooner I would have sent it back to the seller within 30 days. Since realizing the defect I have started a warranty claim for the lifetime warranty they advertise but have not heard anything back.Here is an update: I re-sent the claim into Stormy Kromer and they have since contacted me and are sending a new hat. Didn't wear it except to try it on. Seemed to be well made,and has a safisticated appeal. Looks well made The wool material may require special care or cleaning methods.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my dad, who has been asking for a stormy kromer for years. This brand is homemade in my Peninsula and has a great origin story. I recently met someone who has been wearing the same stormy kroner cap for decades, if that isn't a testament to the quality that goes into their products and prove this is a brand to trust, I don't know what is.

I like wool products and this hat fits the bill. The fit is great and I like the ear protection. The inside liner is great. I recommend for anyone in cold areas.

A friend of mine wore a Stormy to work and I knew I had to have my own. The adjustable ear flap keeps my hearing aids dry during snow and rain and it is WARM ! Had to send back and order the next size up. Size chart was off. According to size chart, I ordered a 6 7/8. Needed to go up to a size 7. When I got the size 7, it was great! Should maybe update the size chart.

The size is apparently run very very small. Also for the price we were expecting a much heavier material it was made out of a very thin flannel not at all what you expect a winter cap to be made out of

Most importantly- measure your head and use the sizing chart. I didn’t but did get to experience a very quick and easy return / replace process.I really like the hat. It’s made very well with what appears to be very nice material. The hat’s design maintains an old fashioned appearance and yesteryear quality. Pulling down the ear cover is easy and does provide substantial cover and warmth. The hat is perfect - comfortable and well on the way to becoming my favorite.

First saw this hat on a friends of ours. He sang the praises of the hat and told us the history. I bought this for my hubsand's birthday and he loves it. The hat is so well made. Has a registration number for replacement if any problems. Hat actually fits snugly on his head no matter how strong the wind. Best hat ever!
