Review on πŸ“Έ Fujitsu fi-7300NX: Advanced Network Document Scanner with Color Touchscreen by Willie Midkiff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

NO standalone network scanner.

This may be a good scanner but it is very confusing to set up and features are VERY limited. It can be set up to scan over a network (or USB) to a PC, much like other ScanSnap products, and use the software on the PC to save the PDF to a file or whatever you do with it want. If you want to use it with dedicated touchscreen buttons as shown in the image and/or without being tied to a workstation, they offer PaperPort NX Manager, which is a bloated utility that can be installed on a server (along with SQL, etc.). d.). You can then connect the scanner and set up custom buttons to appear on the touchscreen. Note. It is STILL not a standalone network scanner as it requires a bunch of software to run on the server. THE WORST: Even after a LOT of work setting up PaperPort NX Manager on the server and after scanning, you can save in PDF BUT IT DOES NOT SUPPORT SCANNING/SAVING TO A SEARCHABLE PDF. Sorry, but that makes it practically useless.
