Too many issues, returned

Unfortunately, this is going back. I just had too many issues with it. In fact, for something as simple as a USB scanner, which should be plug and play and should just work, that's an understatement.Pros:Very quiet, significantly better than my old Canon.Fast scans (but somewhat slow overall, see cons). No transportation lock, so no possibility of damaging scanner due to forgetting to lock it.Kickstand is a neat idea. I personally don't have much use for it, but may in the future and it's a nice

Pros
  • Save space — built-in kickstand for vertical placement.
Cons
  • This model is not equipped with an automatic feeder, which can be inconvenient for large scanning jobs

The Epson name is well recognized in this house been buying their products for along time. This however falls short of quality and Epson should be ashamed of such false descriptions and adverting. There was some real stupid things done in this scanner build that Epson should know better.Pros:Small footprintEasy install on Windows 7 Other reviews show varied issues.Sturdy enough and light weight easy to have on any desk.Scans old photos well and fast seems the auto feature does a good job.No power

Pros
  • Fast speeds — scan letter-sized documents in as few as 10 seconds
Cons
  • The scanner's included software is limited in terms of customization and advanced image editing options

Easy to use and very versatile

I pulled this from the box and setup was very easy. It loads the driver and interface and grabs power off USB so no extra large power pack needed. Not as heavy duty as my old flatbed, but then again I am not sure anything is these days. I would still be using it except the drivers will not go past Windows XP.What I like about this is.I can set 4-5 pictures on the bed and it scans them as separates! Just make sure you have a small gap in between them. So after scanning about 500 pics the 1st day,

Pros
  • 9.9 x 14.4 x 1.5 inches
Cons
  • The scanner's feeding mechanism does not always align paper correctly, leading to crooked or misaligned scans

Great Little Photo Scanner

I bought this scanner because the scanner on my color laser all-in-one became a lot more trouble than it was worth. Setting up the Epson was a dream: download and install the drivers, plug the scanner into a USB port and you're off to the races. During one scanning session I placed three photos on the scanner. I fully expected to get a single 8½ x 11 image that I would then cut out each individual image. No big deal, but I was really surprised that the scanner recognized the three individual…

  • Office Products

Artists Use Caution

While this scanner is GREAT at delivering quality line-art scans, it's definitely lacking when it comes to colored images. I've attached photos of a quick drawing I did for the purpose of showing what I mean. I like the brightness and clarity the scanner brings, but I have that it decreases the saturation and contrast of the image. The actual machine itself works nicely, it's quick, it has many different settings for documents, photographs, line-art and colored illustrations, etc. It does make a

Pros
  • Epson
Cons
  • The scanner's buttons are not particularly responsive, making it difficult to execute quick or precise scans

Easy to use & store, but slow

I'm an artist and I needed a flatbed scanner for paintings/drawings that I'm going to sell online. I'm not a tech expert, but I've owned a few scanners now, and this one is "just alright." For the price, it's a good deal.Cons: slow, not perfect quality, don't like the software it comes with, noisyPros: price, just plug it in and it works, doesn't take up much desk spaceI like that I can have it on hand at my desk without needing to give up half my desk space (I actually just use it in its…

Pros
  • 3.75 pounds
Cons
  • The device does not support multi-page scanning, meaning each page needs to be scanned separately

Works great but it takes 60s to scan a photo

So the description says 10s scans but there is no way unless you pick the lowest dpi and maybe if it is a document. I am scanning photos and it doesn't matter if I pick 300dpi, 600 dpi or 800 dpi it all takes about a minute to scan in. I have tried on two different computers so I know it isn't that. Fortunately I am not doing a huge scan project in a couple days so it isn't the worst thing. The scans are very clear. I like that I can pick locations for my items to save that these old photos get…

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The scanner is not particularly durable and may break down prematurely with regular use

Great scanner, but installation of Mac software problematic

This scanner makes excellent quality scans, is fast, and looks nice on the desktop. I also like that it is USB powered and does not require separate power. However, if you are a Mac owner running OS Sierra, you may have difficulty with the software installer. I found that it would not run, but would repeatedly freeze giving me a "0% progress" graph bar and go no further. If you have this problem, here is how I solved it: The installation cd gives you a link to go download the driver…

Pros
  • Epson Perfection V19 boasts a 4800 dpi optical resolution that captures every detail with precision, producing clear and sharp scans of documents and photos
Cons
  • The scanner's startup time is slower compared to other models, making it less efficient for quick scanning tasks

The scanner is slim, light; the included stand is a genius space-saver; the colors and scan resolution are great. So why the 1 star? There are 7 evenly-spaced missing "bars" of pixels on every scan. (on my second photo I only show 5 of them, because that was not full page)These are not just one missing pixel column either. In my first attached photo, that sample was scanned at 1200dpi (1/4 the scanner's max resolution) and there are already 4 columns of pixels missing from each instance.

Pros
  • Scan and share on cloud services (3) — includes Epson Easy Photo Scan software for scanning to Evernote and more
Cons
  • The device does not include a dedicated power button, which means it must be unplugged to be turned off

Good Enough For Me!

After unsuccessful tests of two other scanners, I ended up with this and I am very pleased so far. I did not need an "all-in-one." I just needed a simple stand-alone scanner for documents and historical photos. The very slim, small-footprint Epson V19 installed easily off its accompanying disk and is working just fine after three days. Of course, who knows anymore how long anything is going to last? :(Some notes:1. The glass only supports originals up to 8 1/2" X 11" and there…

Pros
  • This scanner can handle different scanning needs, including documents, photos, and receipts. It also has color restoration and dust removal features that help to enhance the quality of old or damaged photos
Cons
  • The device can struggle with scanning large documents, resulting in incomplete scans and errors in the final image
