What is XT.COM
XT.COM is a centralised cryptocurrency exchange launched in 2018. It offers spot, margin and futures trading, copy trading, earn and loan products, a real-world-asset marketplace and payments through XT Pay. A 2023 Québec tribunal decision, citing XT.COM's homepage at the time, names BZ Limited, a Hong Kong company, as its owner and operator; the tribunal treated the two as one person.
Good to know

- Spot fees are 25% lower when paid with the exchange's own XT token, and XT holdings count extra towards VIP fee tiers. ↗
- The list of countries where the service is prohibited is non-exclusive and can change at any time; XT.COM says it will not notify users individually. ↗
- The UK is not on XT.COM's list of prohibited countries, but the FCA warns that XT.com is not authorised and may be targeting people in the UK. The FCA says people who deal with it have no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or FSCS protection. ↗
- In April 2023 XT.COM told Québec's regulator that Canadian IP addresses were blocked; the regulator still logged in to an account from Québec on 24 May 2023 and traded from it. ↗
