Coinbase Card is a Visa debit card launched by Coinbase in April 2019. Users of Coinbase debit cards can spend 10 different cryptocurrency directly from their Coinbase balance at any store that accepts Visa payments. In addition to physical cards, Coinbase users get virtual cards on their mobile phones, which they can use with Google Pay. According to the announcement, new features are currently available for users in 14 countries, including Britain, France, Spain, Norway and Sweden. Coinbase also has plans to roll out Google Pay support to several other European countries later this year. However, Coinbase customers may be reluctant to spend their Bitcoin after prices fell by 50% against the US dollar over the past week. Coinbase continues to improve the application of its Visa debit cards. Back in February, Coinbase became the first cryptocurrency company to join Visa as a major member. This membership will allow Coinbase to offer additional features to Coinbase Card users, including support in more markets and additional features to improve card utilities. Likewise, it also allows Coinbase to issue its own debit card - instead of relying on third parties as it is today.
