Chip and PIN involve in migrating to EMV (Europay, MasterCard and visa) smart card. Mobile payment and internet payment. Chip is a secure technology used worldwide for all payment done with credit, debit and prepaid EMV smart card.
Chip card work with payment acceptance devices that are certified to be compliant with EMV chip and PIN standards. During transaction customer insert payment card into the terminal, then the chip and card reader communicate in order to authorize the transaction
EMV is a safer method of transaction but expensive. Many countries from all over the world did not accept to migrate to EMV form of payment, and presently it website is not available even it is available for sale maybe due to unacceptable by the users.
