This is middle of the road given our current state of technology usage with blockchain systems. The high costs of operation as well as extreme volatility does not make this a good investment despite the progress it has shown financially. No new developments means that this will eventually have little value relative to the alternative cryptocurrencies.
Pros
- Certainly high in media attention, increasingly likelihood of value increase in the future. Historical increase in value indicates possible utility as a high risk investment over a 5 year period.
Cons
- Negative attention or outlooks can cause violent decreases in value. No special developments; bitcoin is bitcoin and not much else.
