Digital currency for world adoption.

Energi is an aspirant project that goal to turn a multi thousand person billion dollar enterprise being made probable by their striking 40% treasury pot which is matched with equally sized master nodes. It is a blockchain-based decentralized cryptocurrency built with a vision of mass adoption. It focuses on making a perfect blend of smart contracts, governance and self funding treasury to build the most user friendly, secure and trusted platform for building and trading value.

There is a lot of artistry but not much matter to NRG. Team looks good, website is awesome, but other than that, the adoption of NRG as a merchant retail use case coin  is no slam dunk as there will be a LONG road ahead (sometime in 2020 as per the WP) to achieve that goal. I get the funded backbone and treasury as a self funded project but the emission of 1M coins per month could make inflation an issue. With that said, there was no pre-mine or ICO. Given how many projects are dying on the vine because of a lack of operational funding  these guys may be onto something. Hopefully NRG will become a serious player.

Energi is an experimental project. DO NOT get involved with any expectation of anything in high return for your efforts. Energi are creating a system where they want NO pressure, and can focus on fulfilling Energi's  vision. This is part of the reason Energi opted out of doing an ICO. If you choose to get involved, please understand the risks.

Pros

Masternode holders are able to host Masternodes, which confer rewards for second tier staking on top of Energi's proof of work consensus model. These rewards include governance mechanisms for the owners of the masternodes.
In a similar way, NRG stake holders are a vital part of Energi's consensus network. Stakeholders are also rewarded for holding NRG and running their wallets full time (Proof of Stake).
DApps and other project partners will benefit from Energis smart contract platform. Rather than an exclusive focus on the transactions per second arms race common in the smart contract market, Energi will provide value adds, such as technical expertise and continual governance decision making that will drive value to partnerships and projects based on their merit and their benefit to the Energi ecosystem.
The end consumer is able to use NRG as a store of value and as a utility for use in transactions and the smart contract dApp ecosystem. Just as an interactive network of apps on a smartphone OS have the network effect of increasing the phones usability, Energis network of dApp partners, on boarded into the ecosystem, will increase the usability of the platform. As Energi grows, the Energi defense department will work alongside law enforcement and cyber-security experts to investigate and help safeguard Energi users from any potential hacking or scamming incidents occurring within the Energi community, making the Energi ecosystem more secure for the end use.
