Masari is a cryptocurrency focusing on privacy which is based on CryptoNote and RingCT protocol for fast, cheap and secure transactions around the globe. Masari shares technical similarities to Monaero and through its CryptoNote application layer protocol, aims to solve the specific problems of Bitcoin like traceability, bulky scripts, proof-of-work function and linkability. Further with RingCT privacy features, the transactions are obfuscated and unlinkable to involved parties.
Masari is a fully decentralized open source project that provides several other features like Uncle mining via SECOR protocol, which enables creation of more than one child block from a parent block. Uncle blocks are similar to Bitcoin orphan blocks but unlike orphans, miners are rewarded for mining uncle blocks. Masari also provides a fully client side web wallet which are available for various platforms and Proof-of-Work sharding via blocktree protocol.
