NYC is a cryptocurrency, its main feature that the speed of transactions and relatively low fees, is intended as an alternative payment in the city of New York.
The most outstanding features of this project are:
Cryptocurrency of open code, and verifiable. The repositories are published in Github.
Transactions theoretically processed in 30 seconds, with low fees.
Asset utility, especially to make and receive payments.
Their support is strengthened in the community and what it can provide.
They have a road map, where they do not show great progress.
Compatible with some recognized mobile wallets.
I consider according to the official information that these are the most interesting aspects of newyorkcoin, however there are criticisms about the way in which this project has been taken to an impasse, since it does not have important updates of its network, or methodology to implement for a better diffusion of this cryptocurrency. Currently, it lacks utility and is only supported by a couple of exchanges with security and quality of doubtful negotiation, or do not have a large community, knowing that it has been active since 2014. Most of the criticisms or comments are neutral or negative, having little participation.
I would recommend a reorganization of the team or of the people who still believe in this project, they need a broader market approach since there are many currencies that comply with what you offer, fast payments and decentralized currency. Otherwise it will be destined to disappear, or even worse to be classified as a scam.

Easy and fast to use, available the wallet for Android and iOS, allowing to create multiple accounts in the same app, in coionomi.
I think it needs more development and more movement, I think its development has stalled because I have not seen much for now.
This project seems very promising especially for the location of it, has a large market that has not been exploited enough.
I consider this asset as a high risk investment, I would like a little more new things that would allow me to trust NewYorkCoin more.
I would like to have more NYC, in Hold. but some of their exchanges do not inspire confidence.
Recently, the integration with the CoinTopay platform was announced, allowing payments to be made with this payment processor making it easier for merchants to use it since with this platform we can receive or make payments in crypto and receive the fiat money.

- Transactions technically confirmed in 30 seconds.
Cons
- Volume of transactions low.
- Exchanges where it is listed with few transactions and liquidity.
- Low price, considering that it is from 2014.
- Lack of innovation and reorganization of the project.
- Roadmap, ineffective and stagnant with nothing new to offer to the current public.
