Global currency for people and businesses.
Reserve is a very ambitious project that aims to solve a real-world problem with a proven use case of blockchain. Because of the competition and the complexity it has, it's still very early to understand the potential but is definitely a project to keep an eye on because if succeeds it could massively impact the world and give substantial returns to investors.
The protocol concept is new and complex. It still requires a lot of testing and improvements to prove it really works in the "real-world". At the moment there is a lack of partnerships with companies with large userbase in the initial target countries , which could be a key component for adoption.
Pros
- Investments from many reputable VC companies and angel investors.
- Experienced and passionate team that has been developing the idea for more than two years while closely following the currency inflation problem worldwide.
- A proven use case for blockchain with an innovative utility token that brings incentives for investors and governance in the protocol decisions.
Cons
- Lack of strong partnerships with companies with a high userbase which would help adoption of the currency in non-developed countries.
- Very long term project, the roadmap is not available, mainnet is planned in 2020 but could be delayed and since it's a completely new concept of a stablecoin there are many tests and improvements needed.
