Sonm is the next big thing?
Sonm is a decentralized marketplace where individuals or organizations purchase computing power from the suppliers around the world for multiple purposes such as scientific calculation, data storage, or machine learning, etc. The project aims to break the monopolistic practice of the dominant cloud computing providers with a new concept: fog computing. Sonm finds itself distinct from the other projects for some extraordinary aspects. By participating in Sonm network, customers access to an environment where they take control of the desired amount of computing power, reasonable expenses, and suitable timing. The participants can be anyone as long as they possess the set of compliant gadgets or mining pools (many of the existing ones are supported even if they are low-end).

- Nodes may get into failure due to the manner of Sonm's resources
- Their security aspect is still being developed (they are honest about this!)
