To be completely honest the first thing that caught my attention, when I came across the Wibson project, was the promise of privacy for users. The promise that users can have access to knowing who collected their data on the internet, was what actually caught my attention. It is true that in the digital world we now live in, the internet can be a force for good and can as well be a force for bad. This is majorly because information is a very valuable asset today and there are a lot of people gathering up information illegally of course, about users of the internet. Hence the need for privacy. To help secure the internet to some degree, various projects built on the Blockchain technology have come up with various solutions such as the provision of anonymity for users who transact on their platforms. Wibson is one of such projects. So essentially, Wibson is a privacy and personal data control management solution that empowers users to own and control their data. There is a mobile application, the Wibson app which allows you to access, monitor and control your personal data. Technically, Wibson constructs a privacy-preserving, distributed and decentralized marketplace where parties can exchange without any fear of losing their data.
