The OEM is definitely plastic and this product is just rubber, so expect a different feeling when you put it on. With OEM, you can easily move your computer. Expect some resistance as this is rubber. Initially, your Mac may lift a little higher than you're used to, but after a while it should level out. When installing, be sure to remove any residue from the previous "legs" so use isopropyl alcohol if necessary. OEMs can leave a very thin sticker after removing the feet, so just pick it up and peel it off. The new "legs" need to be attached directly to the aluminum body and you really only get one chance to install them, so be careful and make sure you are happy with the positioning before pressing firmly against the aluminum body . It was good that new screws came with it, but I didn't need them.
