Review on πŸ”₯ Efficient and Durable: IMCO 6700 Cigarette Lighter for Reliable Ignition by Darlene Myles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This thing is better than the original

I've always liked old lighters. I have owned several IMCO lighters over the years and have always loved them. The only thing I didn't like was that they could be a bit finicky when it came to the windshield collar, which can be moved up and down on most models. All the ones I've owned over the past few years (they were all bought in Europe and were absolutely genuine) were starting to get a little rough on the slides and that could be annoying. Still very comfortable but rough. On the other hand, this lighter is actually better than the originals. To me it is visually indistinguishable other than the lack of an IMCO stamp and a model under the fuel tank. The metal is exactly the same thickness and shape as I remember. And the sliding windshield is the best I've seen on these stylish lighters. It fits and works well even after wearing and using this lighter for a long time. The parts just fit together better. The fuel tank also fits better. In the originals, the lighter always seemed difficult to fuel. The point wasn't that they would leak, but that they had gaps that allowed too much evaporation to occur. This lighter showed no sign of this and I've been using it for a few months now. It will last just as long as a larger Zippo. For the price, things are great. They are cheaper than buying the original on ebay but are also of better quality. It's also nice that they're a lot fancier than the Zippo, at least in most of Europe and America, so they can be a nice bit of personality and a talking point.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
