I bought this to whiten my teeth and it started to work until it was VERY sensitive. I have a damaged tooth that I don't mind brushing with regular toothpaste. But after using this charcoal, I could only eat and drink at room temperature. Anything hot or cold was so painful that I almost cried every time I ate. I thought my tooth was rotted or a nerve was exposed and needed to be removed. no I stopped using charcoal and after 2 days the nagging sensitivity was gone! So if ALL the teeth are not in good condition, don't buy. To their credit, the bottle says to throw out the charcoal if sensitivity develops, but you don't really know until AFTER they've taken your money :(
