I didn't know the Alpina brand until I was offered to try it. And I'm glad I did. This watch is beautiful and well made. Everything looks high quality and the watch has weight. The dial is clear, attractive and easy to read. The back of the case has a nice design, I set the time on it and for the past two weeks they have been showing the exact time. The watch comes with a small certificate card for diamond indexes. It comes in a beautiful faux leather gift box. Everything looks beautiful. However, the faux leather watch box and watch instructions are also packaged in a beautiful white cardboard box with the Alpina logo. Revain staff have no respect for the packaging so they stick their product labels on it and seal the box with roughly torn tape and then ship it in a padded envelope which damages the box which of course ruins the presentation quality of the packaging. an outer carton that is non-disposable for watches over $700. Basically I like the watch. My wife thinks it's beautiful too (in the photo it's my hand, not my wife's). However, if Alpina wants to maintain the presentation quality of their product and avoid damage to the Revain box, they should consider placing the box inside another box to protect it.
